Which incompatibilities do you mean in detail? Which kind of software problems on AROS68k do you have and want to get solved?

No AROS 68k library runs on OS3.x AMiGA, while OS3.x libraries run on AROS 68k.

Example, if you replace some OS3.x libraries with those of AROS 68k, OS Amiga no longer works

Isn‘t that, what ArosVision was doing?  :o Do you have an example?

I'm not talking about ArosVision but about AROS 68k that includes new native libraries, if you try to use on an OS3 you'll see that they do not work. Example try to replace the Icon.library of AROS 68k on OS3.9 and you'll see that OS3.9 will not start anymore.

AFAIR It's AROS 68K that is compatible with AmigaOS 3.1, not necessarily also vice-versa.
You can run AOS3 things on AROS 68K, not necessarily the contrary. AFA-OS, indeed, replaces some AmigaOS components with AROS ones. Maybe you should ask his author to help you.

Paul, I'm not talking about AfA-OS, I'm talking about OS3.x in general, apart from the AROS 68k native applications that will never work on OS3 because of the missing "stdc.library" on this system, many libraries are also not supported by OS3.x.
In practice, nothing of AROS 68k native is compatible with OS3.x, in practice they are two completely different systems, as mentioned on the contrary, many new OS3 applications, on the other hand, work on AROS 68x.

Paolo AfA-OS is not an independent system and a normal OS3.9 with the addition of a small extension that allows to improve the graphics, a bit like Dopus5 Magellan but less invasive because the System and the Workbench remain standard

------ italiano ------

The icon.library in AROS is not complete! That is an incompatibility that is in general caused by the not yet supported icon types!

AFAIK ArosVision was a mix of AOS3 and AROS that works on WinUAE. I could not take a look at your video though...

ArosVision is not ARSOS 68k, it's two different systems,AROS 68k is a modern and fast system with new native system applications (watch the video), it is not only the Icon.library that is incompatible, there are many others.

im not sure i understand the complaint. aros modules may be in general dependent on aros libs, even on m68k, becaus e they provide aros functionality, amiga sdks doesn't secure. if they weren't, they should be considered a proper binary compatible port to amiga-m68k. but no such claim has been lifted so far, even if i personally would support that idea. we are trying to get the best of worlds, amiga, aros, amigalike-ng and the current standards, but please sont take this for granted all the time.

I did not understand what you said, but if you try to replace the asl.library on OS 3.9 with that of AROS 68k, you will see that on OS3.9 no shell or request can be opened

Is the problem the same on plain AOS3.1? I ask because AROS should be as compatible as possible to AOS3.1 not AOS3.9... Sorry, but even that will not be 100% possible.

I can not help further.  :(

And according to this site there is still a lot to do to make AROS68k fully compatible:
https://en.m.wikibooks.org/wiki/Aros/Platforms/68k_support/Developer/Libraries

I don‘t know though, if it is 100% the actual status. And I doubt it is worth all the trouble...

Thank you very much, i was not wrong then?

I would have liked to bring the intuiton.library on AfA-OS to move the windows off the screen as you do on AROS 68k (see screenshot)

This is my OS3.9 + AfA-OS: https://youtu.be/LPVhDsAkkbg
