Ths PDF is one that works perfectly with the 2016 install but is too big to install and for some reason ArosExec will not even let me put up the ink to it??
To send the PDF file use Google Drive, quick and easy ! or I can give you my E-Mail

P.S. am I just being stupid (quite possibly...) or is Ghostscript not included in the Aros One distribution? I copied the files  from Icaros.

What specifically did you copy?

To get back on topic, the file that you mentioned is it:
a) AQA-7408-SDB
b) AQA-74082-INS-JUN19
c) AQA-8463-ES-INS
d) none of the above

Any of a or b  - they are the same formula booklet.

Cheers,
Nigel.

Please do "version freetype2.library full" on that 2016 install and tell the result.

It's version 6.0, 08/08/2014.

Cheers,
Nigel.

I picked up the whole GS850 directory from Icaos sys:system.

Cheers,
Nigel.

P.S. this Ghostscript port is getting really old; what we really need is a fully working Polybios plugin for Hollywood so we could have some of those nice PDF viewers and Tools coming out of that. From the Polybios docs:

Q: Why doesn't Polybios support the conversion of PDF pages to vector
    brushes on AROS?

A: That's because PDFium requires a compiler capable of handling C++11 and
wide characters which is currently unavailable for AROS. But this will
hopefully change in the future so that AROS users can convert PDF pages into
    Hollywood brushes too.

So the question is does the current AROS GCC comply with this?

Ok thanks for the info about "GS850", about the technical data you mentioned you need to ask the developers!

If you send me the PDF file I can do some tests to see if I can find some solution if there is one !

For information on what compiler version(s) AROS supports see https://github.com/aros-development-team/AROS (scroll down to the table view)

but tbh I do not quite grasp the requirement... widechars ? as in unicode ? afaik there is a unicode support library available for AROS. Unless, I misunderstood something there.

Hmm, I guess it means unicode... I'll post over on the Hollywood forums quoting the current verison of GCC being used and see what comes back.

Cheers,
Nigel.

Also the "White" Folder Icons of the "Music" section have been completed, I would like to remind you that the DualPNG Icons of AROS One x86/68k are 48x47, which is the Standard size, but there are also the larger 64x62 versions which are not included, but which I will be able to include if there are requests, or when with Scalos they can be automatically reduced by the system.

I attach usual screenshot where you can see the two different sizes of the icons:

I have to say I really do like your icons; they are nice, neat and conistent, and a very good size for smaller screens such as on my Samsung and eee PC. Lookng forwards to installng the new set  ;D

Cheers,
Nigel.

Thank you although many do not think so, many AROS users but also Amiga "like" the old-fashioned,do not like the order of icons and the order of applications.

Unfortunately, the AROS user is tied to the old Amiga, and anything that is different "modern" does not like, at times I feel like quitting, too much effort being ignored, not even trying them.

It would have been all easier to make icons "the same as OS3" but that to me would have been a big regression !

I agree you need a modern look; unfortunately, most people are influenced more by the 'eye candy' than the actual functionality, so  whilst an Amiga OS3 or whaterver look might be nostalgic, it will not encourage those under 40 (or should that be 50?) to try out the system. Do keep going; whilst we hope at some point for a fully modern system (multicore and memory protection) it will need a modern look  :) Saying that, to some people a modern look would be like a 'phone with page after page cluttered up with app icons to scroll through, which to me is just plain dumb...

Cheers,
Nigel.
