With the new beta nothing happens if I click on a Playlist item.
I don't quite remember how to properly create a Playlist by taking songs from a folder, can you write a small example

Hmmm, seams strange. I tried the new beta and nothing changed reagarding playlist. Works fine.

I get this message "FRAME HEADER not here" some times when I try to change position in a song. This is random so hard to give exact info to reproduce.
Not all formats support seeking with the plugins we have. Formats that stream audio data from a file (like mp3, flac, wav...) usually do support seeking of the position, but modules etc don't. Or does this happen randomly with the same format too? Another reason could be that you are playing an mp3 file with variable bit rate. Duration of VBR files can't be get precisely, and you might have tried to seek at the position that doesn't actually exist.

Here is an example how to do it.
First create a playlist. Click the first icon and name the playlist what you want.
After that you can mark the songs you loaded f.eks holding left mouse button and add them to the playlist. That is icon 4 from left. The one with green + sign.

Now I try the new beta, the request doesn't go away I have clicked a hundred times :) but nothing happens, RNOTunes can't even be closed, also tried with exchange.
With the previous version you tried to load a playlist which contained 3002 tunes that don't exist in your system, so you would have needed to click the requester 3002 times :)

With the new beta, the program just skips all those files that don't exist and nothing should happen, so it sounds it works correctly now. You can check the situation by clicking the Edit Playlist button (3rd playlist button) and see if it tells "Not found" for the files.

Add the songs you want onto the main window, and then select the ones you want to add to a playlist, and click the button with + on it to add them to a selected playlist. I didn't make it possible to add files directly to a playlist, because it's safer to see if they work on the program in the first place.

JPV: I have one request.

Would it be possible that if I mark all songs in some album, edit properties, select album art and it will be appled to all tracks?

I tried to log into last fm to display lyrics etc. but could not get that to work?

The bug I reported before where I could not change possition in a song using mouse still just works random but with short keys it work every time  ;)

Let's see if I figure out a good way to do that... I guess the best would be able to select which properties you want to copy...

But if you have an album in its own directory, then it's better to have a cover image file in that directory (and have the "Search file" option enabled in the settings). No need to edit the database for all files.

Lyrics aren't got via Last.fm, they are fetched elsewhere, but that requires HTTPS support which sadly isn't available for AROS. There isn't AmiSSL for AROS and I also didn't find any shell command for a work-around either. If someone is able to compile, for example, a wget with HTTPS support, then it'll work.

Yes, that is exactly what I do. I download some image from internet and put it in the album folder. If I add the image to a track I have to do that for all tracks and the file requester do not go back to the album folder.

My fault I stopped at 100 :)

JVP: Could you have a look here for wget.

nikos, if it may unterest you "AGet" has been updated and supports HTTPS, I discussed it here:

https://ae.amigalife.org/index.php?topic=774.msg13268#msg13268

Find "AGet" in the UHCTools package:

Both AGet and wget don't support HTTPS on AROS, AFAIK. Check this thread for details: https://ae.amigalife.org/index.php?topic=896.msg10457#msg10457

Ok, thanks for looking into it.

Hopefully someone can do something about it.

Here's a new beta. I changed the gfx/ directory to contain subdirs (no images should be directly in the gfx/ dir from now on) where you can put own skins/themes. If a skin is missing some files (like the default album images), they will be looked from the gfx/Default/ directory. This way we don't need duplicate files if you just want to have different button images. Added two example sets from AMIGASYSTEM there (btw. do you want me to credit you as AMIGASYSTEM or with some other name in the readme?).

The graphics directory can be changed from Settings -> GUI -> Graphics. It still needs restarting of the program to take new gfx in use... I probably leave it like this for 1.0, because re-creating the whole GUI live could cause some new bugs and would need more time for testing.

I also don't dare to mess with the writing of multiple properties at once now... let's see in the future versions.

I made a video about slider problem.
AROS native with latest Aros build from Deadwood.
Short cut keys work fine to change volume.
