I tried RNO Tunes. I like it. SID files did not play? Play, pause button is buggy. Would also be nice with a search function.  Thanks

Nicos with RNOTunes the SID Files work fine, at least the ones I tried, about Play, Pause Button, the fault is not with RNOTunes, but with the "MCC_TheBar", to not have problems you have to use this fixed version.

http://archives.aros-exec.org/index.php?function=showfile&file=library/mui/mcc_thebar-26.22.lha

Thanks, I will try the fixed version soon.
Maybe it would be a good idea to include all the files needed in the archive?

None of the SID files I tried loaded. Maybe it could also be something in my system.

edit: nope, did not change anything regarding pause, play button.

Did you reboot the system after replacing the libraries? do you have a well updated system?

I created a small video where you can see that the buttons work perfectly on RNOTunes, also you can see that the SID files work well both on RNOTunes, but also with the MiniSID Player.

The video and compressed in ZIP is about 13 MB, once you download it you can watch it with any Video Player.

I use the latest abi 0 from Deadwood. What system files do you use?

The .mcc files go to /classes/zune right?

I use my AROS On x86 v1.8 updated with the latest ISO from Deadwood, also AROS One x86 includes several of my configurations.

In My Distro AROS One x86 I only replaced the mcc_thebar-26.22.lha (includes bugs) with the version fixed by Deadwood (the one I posted above)

I found one thing. If I use the keyboard. R-Amiga + p it works. It is using the mouse it does not work.

It is RNOTunes 0,6 you are using?

I use RNOTunes 0.6, and as you can see from the video, the Mouse commands work fine for me.
Most likely you have some other library to replace with those fixed by Deadwood, Read all the discussions we had with Deadwood

I found why SID does not work.
You need to download sid.hwp from hollywood plugins.
Now SID works great!

I do not need any distribution. I use whatever Aros build that is the latest.
The thing is that together with software you should have a readme file to
point out what files are needed. In this case you need the latest version of the bar, avcodec
and SID hollywood plugin.
If not, you should point out that this program is only tested on Icaros or whatever distribution.
The program works nice now :) thanks

nikos, not so, Aros builds are basic and are not suitable to take advantage of all the third-party software, in the Aros builds there are no Hollywood libraries and there are not so many other software needed to use all the third-party software.

Also in the Aros builds the files are not associated with the right tools, which among other things are not installed.

Aros builds are for testing so that you have a reference, but they are not usable as real operating systems, because otherwise there will always be something that does not work or does not work well.

also use only Aros build, discourages developers from creating new software.

In any case, there are many methods of finding out what a piece of software is missing to run, RNOTune requires the Hollywood libraries that are assumed to be "all" installed on the system by default.

What you say is kind of correct but I would still like to see requirements in a ReadMe file. It could also point out to some AROS distribution.
On most Operative Systems there are some times libs. etc. that are needed to run software. On Amiga and AROS we have the installer.

I would say that for now the AROS, Deadwood builds are the most up to date AROS operative system. If you download some distribution you do not know for sure it is up to date.

Meanwhile, RNOTunes is not yet officially distributed by the developer, and when it is, it will surely include the readme in the archive as it has always done with all its software.

Pointing out the AROS Distributions does not make any sense, because all Distributions have or same "Core" what changes is the system configuration.

For example on my AROS One all Audio, Video, Anim, Archive files are well associated and just one click to use them, on a Build you can never have this.

I don't want to force you to use my AROS One Distribution, but I would advise you to test it and maybe get everything you are interested in.

I have seen all the good things you have done and really appreciate it. It is for sure a great distribution for people that like to try out AROS. Since I know so much about Amiga and AROS I like to configure and do it my way.

Yes if one knows how to put one's hands it's okay to create one's own system, but using the Distributions and helping them to grow and popularize them would help much more growth, alone you don't go anywhere, I'm 68 years old and I think I've seen a lot :)

For sure! Your distribution is looking great and I will soon download and try it :)
