Hi people
After couple of years of highly upgraded, very well equipped Amiga 68k and then over 10 years of MorphOS on a MacMini I discovered that there is another way where the Amiga can go.
Things make me intrigued by AROS are:
- x86 nativeness
- built in MUI (ZUNE)
- 68k emulation (built in?)
- MorphOS is born from AROS

And I hope AROS has draggable screens. In contrast to MorphOS.

Thank you.
To be precise MorphOS has draggable screens but when you release the screenbar it jumps back upwards. Do screens of AROS behave same?

No on AROS if you lower the screen it stays down ! I emulate MOS on Quemu and the screen is fixed it does not lower ! it could however depend on the type of video card !

Thank you both.
Another question: how far is AROS Poseidon from the one from MorphOS?
I heard it's quite old and lacks lots of classes.

I don't know the differences, on AROS for example the USB port works fine, Pendriver external hardisk and Memoricard (USB adapter) work fine.

On AROS you can create a Live system on Pendrive/Hardisk USB external, and start/install AROS without problems, on MOS can you do it ?

Actually I don't know. Never needed to create a live cd.
The MorphOS cd ISO image is actually a live CD, because it boots and then you can do a hard disk instalation.
It's nice to hear you have no problems with pendrives, memory cards and card readers on AROS, because I often have problems with them on my MorphOS.
But mayby it's because my MacMini rather than because MorphOS Poseidon.
AFAIR I haven't such problems on my Amiga 1200 with Spider USB and Poseidon installed.

No I'm not talking about CD/DVD Live, but "PenDrive Live", that is boot AROS from Pendrive, or install AROS through a Pendrive, same thingyou can do with External USB Harddisks, on MOS I don't know you can do it !

With AROS One and IcarOS there are USB Images, which you then "Burn to Pendrive", this way you install AROS in a few minutes, on MOS is it possible to do this ?

AROS One x86  Start with PenDrive

AROS can be booted from pendrive on any supported PC, DualBoot with windows as well:

I am the developer of AROS One x86/68k, so I prefer my Distribution ;D

In any case AROS One and Icaros follow different lines, a comparison cannot be made, diversity is beautiful in all its forms, because it represents an opportunity for enrichment !

icaros desktop is not updated with the latest builds of aros i386 you can always read the manual supplied I used it but I did not find myself well suffers from some instability problem that I did not understand well if it derives from dopus5 in classic mode with wanderer (the workbench) works well

Do you mean Icaros Desktop is unstable because it uses old AROS and DOpus Magellan? How about AROS One? Does it use pure Wanderer?
Your Tiny Aros looks pretty and clean. Does it use Magellan?
Btw, can you ask someone to list your distribution here http://www.aros.org/download.php ?

Yes AROS One x86/68k use by choice AROS pure, that is only Wanderer !
