I am collaborating with JPV RNO and other programmers to develop software, something has already been released, now we can process a PDF file and then we have a more modern archive manager, we are working for you all
-
stay tuned :)
-
This is RNOTunes a software for our audio files, the program is going to be terminated
-
Very nice!
-
Yes Paolone :)
-
Rnoarchive is plagued by some bugs when creating the archives, just use the Drag and Drop function to resolve, that is to give a name to the ZIP archive and then move the folders that we want to compact directly in the program window :)
-
I have a new project in mind after Rnotunes, we have our word processor who would be rnopublisher, missing a spreadsheet even if there is Leu, we hope my request can be satisfied :)
-
a note on rnoarchive, the program reserves very fast in compacting and unpacking even large archives and then does not block the system during its exercise, even if it is not compatible with some types of files it seems rar and 7zip is an indispensable tool for We, found very frustrating Zunearc wrapped :-\
-
I came an idea about Rnoeffects, a change to the Draw function that is currently a bit difficult and lacks some features we'll see after Rnotunes :)
-
ok this is first beta version of rnotunes, I tried it and it works well "enjoy"
https://www.adrive.com/public/GAKFSa/rnotunes.zip
-
lacks little to release something is still missing to implement
(https://i.ibb.co/7bRBQNs/rnotunes.jpg)
-
missing little for Rnotunes release, JPV must still add something to the Program, we are working for you :)
-
In the next Rnotunes beta release these will be the changes:
- Dropdown menu changes
- More ARexx commands
- Shell options tuning
- Search cover images from tune's dir
- Wrote a readme
- Got everything proof-readed
- Fixed editing of an empty playlist
- User modifications shown in the info text too
- User modified cover, volume, and info are updated realtime for the playing tune
- Adding files to playlists didn't work properly due an unfinished implementation
- Saved GUI element settings weren't used at program startup
- GUI tweaking/re-work, added graphical buttons
- Added repeat functionality
It is not known whether the program on Aminet and other reference sites for a bug on a Hollywood library will be published, in any case I will publish the next Beta Release on this thread and no on Archives at the moment :)

Currently RNOArchive 1.1 and RNOEffects 1.4 has been released, my support was not lacking as ideas is not just JPV work that I admire because it helps me in my requests this to contribute on behalf of the whole community
enjoy, all the best

Some time ago I contacted the author of Muibase because the version we had available was obsolete well or Steffen updated the software for us :)

Good work :)
-
thank you very much :D
-
I am looking for a programmer that if it is possible to do the porting of ignition calculation sheet
-
JPV RNO will soon release the official version of RNOTunes with a surprise for us aros users
Stay Tuned!
-
Great!
-
yes paolone :)
-
JPV RNO and a great !
we anxiously await the surprise !
-
all this is possible thanks also to my efforts
-
Of course, also a thank you to you for the support !

Maybe a new project! surprise :)

I tried RNO Tunes. I like it. SID files did not play? Play, pause button is buggy. Would also be nice with a search function. Thanks

Nicos with RNOTunes the SID Files work fine, at least the ones I tried, about Play, Pause Button, the fault is not with RNOTunes, but with the "MCC_TheBar", to not have problems you have to use this fixed version.

Thanks, I will try the fixed version soon.
Maybe it would be a good idea to include all the files needed in the archive?
None of the SID files I tried loaded. Maybe it could also be something in my system.
edit: nope, did not change anything regarding pause, play button.
-
Did you reboot the system after replacing the libraries? do you have a well updated system?
I created a small video where you can see that the buttons work perfectly on RNOTunes, also you can see that the SID files work well both on RNOTunes, but also with the MiniSID Player.
The video and compressed in ZIP is about 13 MB, once you download it you can watch it with any Video Player.

I use the latest abi 0 from Deadwood. What system files do you use?
The .mcc files go to /classes/zune right?
-
I use my AROS On x86 v1.8 updated with the latest ISO from Deadwood, also AROS One x86 includes several of my configurations.
In My Distro AROS One x86 I only replaced the mcc_thebar-26.22.lha (includes bugs) with the version fixed by Deadwood (the one I posted above)

I found one thing. If I use the keyboard. R-Amiga + p it works. It is using the mouse it does not work.
It is RNOTunes 0,6 you are using?
-
I use RNOTunes 0.6, and as you can see from the video, the Mouse commands work fine for me.
Most likely you have some other library to replace with those fixed by Deadwood, Read all the discussions we had with Deadwood

nikos what distribution do you use icaros 2.3? If you download these Fix
http://archives.aros-exec.org/share/utility/misc/icaros23_fix.tar
-
I found why SID does not work.
You need to download sid.hwp from hollywood plugins.
Now SID works great!
-
nikos what distribution do you use icaros 2.3? If you download these Fix
http://archives.aros-exec.org/share/utility/misc/icaros23_fix.tar
I do not need any distribution. I use whatever Aros build that is the latest.
The thing is that together with software you should have a readme file to
point out what files are needed. In this case you need the latest version of the bar, avcodec
and SID hollywood plugin.
If not, you should point out that this program is only tested on Icaros or whatever distribution.
The program works nice now :) thanks
-
nikos, not so, Aros builds are basic and are not suitable to take advantage of all the third-party software, in the Aros builds there are no Hollywood libraries and there are not so many other software needed to use all the third-party software.
Also in the Aros builds the files are not associated with the right tools, which among other things are not installed.
Aros builds are for testing so that you have a reference, but they are not usable as real operating systems, because otherwise there will always be something that does not work or does not work well.
also use only Aros build, discourages developers from creating new software.
In any case, there are many methods of finding out what a piece of software is missing to run, RNOTune requires the Hollywood libraries that are assumed to be "all" installed on the system by default.

What you say is kind of correct but I would still like to see requirements in a ReadMe file. It could also point out to some AROS distribution.
On most Operative Systems there are some times libs. etc. that are needed to run software. On Amiga and AROS we have the installer.
I would say that for now the AROS, Deadwood builds are the most up to date AROS operative system. If you download some distribution you do not know for sure it is up to date.
-
Meanwhile, RNOTunes is not yet officially distributed by the developer, and when it is, it will surely include the readme in the archive as it has always done with all its software.
Pointing out the AROS Distributions does not make any sense, because all Distributions have or same "Core" what changes is the system configuration.
For example on my AROS One all Audio, Video, Anim, Archive files are well associated and just one click to use them, on a Build you can never have this.
I don't want to force you to use my AROS One Distribution, but I would advise you to test it and maybe get everything you are interested in.

I have seen all the good things you have done and really appreciate it. It is for sure a great distribution for people that like to try out AROS. Since I know so much about Amiga and AROS I like to configure and do it my way.
-
Yes if one knows how to put one's hands it's okay to create one's own system, but using the Distributions and helping them to grow and popularize them would help much more growth, alone you don't go anywhere, I'm 68 years old and I think I've seen a lot :)

Thank you I am glad, this will stimulate me to do better !
Anyway we are OT here, if we need to discuss these topics again let's do it on a new Thread or on Thread dedicated to Distributions, thank you :)

I tried RNO Tunes. I like it. SID files did not play? Play, pause button is buggy. Would also be nice with a search function. Thanks
Thank you for the feedback!
I always include required plugin files in my distributions, so sid.hwp will be in the archive I release and users don't have to install it manually. The latest beta spreaded here wasn't from me and didn't contain all the files the final release will have.
I added a mention about AROS MCC_TheBar in the readme now.
Search functionality added to the pattern selection window (might be a bit weird place, but it was easy to add there, because of similar operation), thanks for the suggestion.
I was promised to get the final bits I need to release the program this week, but still waiting... well.. there's some hours left of this week, so let's see :) In any case the release shouldn't be far, but it's not up to me.

JPV: Great work with this app. Will for sure donate a little for your efforts :) Thanks!
edit: donated 10 Euro now. If others like this software you should donate. This way we show that AROS is alive and that
we want native, good software like this.

@jPV
If you click on a Playlist stored in the GUI, and that path no longer exists, the request that appears to cancel is blocked, basically the request can no longer be closed !
I am creating some Skins (Graphic Buttons) for RNOTunes, I hope you don't mind, maybe if you like them you can put them in the RNOTunes archive

Just delete the playlist and create your own and it will work :)
They are from some other user.
-
I get this message "FRAME HEADER not here" some times when I try to change position in a song. This is random so hard to give exact info to reproduce.
-

Yes I know nikos, but it can happen that for some reason one forgets to have moved or deleted folders or volume, I just reported the anomaly.
-

When I start RNOTunes after a reboot I can not move possition in a tune. I quit the program and start again and it works?
AREXX?

It happens if you don't have the volume (drive) available, it asks for the volume for each file, so if you click enough it'll finally be gone.
But I changed it to check the volume too, so it shouldn't give requesters in any case now. Here's the latest beta (https://jpv.amigaaa.com/RNOTunes/beta/RNOTunes_AROS_beta.lha).
I am creating some Skins (Graphic Buttons) for RNOTunes, I hope you don't mind, maybe if you like them you can put them in the RNOTunes archive
Cool, I probably can include them if there isn't any copyright issues :)
-
Now I try the new beta, the request doesn't go away I have clicked a hundred times :) but nothing happens, RNOTunes can't even be closed, also tried with exchange.
For the Skins no copyright, I created the buttons by HAND by capturing graphics on the web, then with a simple Paint I edited and created.
In the screenshot you can see 2 of them, I also tweaked your "txt" icons, then maybe if I have time and health I make the others ;)
-
With the new beta nothing happens if I click on a Playlist item.
I don't quite remember how to properly create a Playlist by taking songs from a folder, can you write a small example
-

Hmmm, seams strange. I tried the new beta and nothing changed reagarding playlist. Works fine.
-
I get this message "FRAME HEADER not here" some times when I try to change position in a song. This is random so hard to give exact info to reproduce.
Not all formats support seeking with the plugins we have. Formats that stream audio data from a file (like mp3, flac, wav...) usually do support seeking of the position, but modules etc don't. Or does this happen randomly with the same format too? Another reason could be that you are playing an mp3 file with variable bit rate. Duration of VBR files can't be get precisely, and you might have tried to seek at the position that doesn't actually exist.
-
With the new beta nothing happens if I click on a Playlist item.
I don't quite remember how to properly create a Playlist by taking songs from a folder, can you write a small example
Here is an example how to do it.
First create a playlist. Click the first icon and name the playlist what you want.
After that you can mark the songs you loaded f.eks holding left mouse button and add them to the playlist. That is icon 4 from left. The one with green + sign.
-
Now I try the new beta, the request doesn't go away I have clicked a hundred times :) but nothing happens, RNOTunes can't even be closed, also tried with exchange.
With the previous version you tried to load a playlist which contained 3002 tunes that don't exist in your system, so you would have needed to click the requester 3002 times :)
With the new beta nothing happens if I click on a Playlist item.
I don't quite remember how to properly create a Playlist by taking songs from a folder, can you write a small example
With the new beta, the program just skips all those files that don't exist and nothing should happen, so it sounds it works correctly now. You can check the situation by clicking the Edit Playlist button (3rd playlist button) and see if it tells "Not found" for the files.
Add the songs you want onto the main window, and then select the ones you want to add to a playlist, and click the button with + on it to add them to a selected playlist. I didn't make it possible to add files directly to a playlist, because it's safer to see if they work on the program in the first place.
-
JPV: I have one request.
Would it be possible that if I mark all songs in some album, edit properties, select album art and it will be appled to all tracks?
I tried to log into last fm to display lyrics etc. but could not get that to work?
The bug I reported before where I could not change possition in a song using mouse still just works random but with short keys it work every time ;)
-
Would it be possible that if I mark all songs in some album, edit properties, select album art and it will be appled to all tracks?
Let's see if I figure out a good way to do that... I guess the best would be able to select which properties you want to copy...
But if you have an album in its own directory, then it's better to have a cover image file in that directory (and have the "Search file" option enabled in the settings). No need to edit the database for all files.
I tried to log into last fm to display lyrics etc. but could not get that to work?
Lyrics aren't got via Last.fm, they are fetched elsewhere, but that requires HTTPS support which sadly isn't available for AROS. There isn't AmiSSL for AROS and I also didn't find any shell command for a work-around either. If someone is able to compile, for example, a wget with HTTPS support, then it'll work.
-

Yes, that is exactly what I do. I download some image from internet and put it in the album folder. If I add the image to a track I have to do that for all tracks and the file requester do not go back to the album folder.
-
After that you can mark the songs you loaded f.eks holding left mouse button and add them to the playlist.
I had missed this passage, thank you !
so you would have needed to click the requester 3002 times
My fault I stopped at 100 :)

Perfetto
If you want to try my Skins, I attach archive:

nikos, if it may unterest you "AGet" has been updated and supports HTTPS, I discussed it here:

Hopefully someone can do something about it.
-
Created 2 more Skins :)
-
Here's a new beta (https://jpv.amigaaa.com/RNOTunes/beta/RNOTunes_AROS_beta.lha). I changed the gfx/ directory to contain subdirs (no images should be directly in the gfx/ dir from now on) where you can put own skins/themes. If a skin is missing some files (like the default album images), they will be looked from the gfx/Default/ directory. This way we don't need duplicate files if you just want to have different button images. Added two example sets from AMIGASYSTEM there (btw. do you want me to credit you as AMIGASYSTEM or with some other name in the readme?).
The graphics directory can be changed from Settings -> GUI -> Graphics. It still needs restarting of the program to take new gfx in use... I probably leave it like this for 1.0, because re-creating the whole GUI live could cause some new bugs and would need more time for testing.
I also don't dare to mess with the writing of multiple properties at once now... let's see in the future versions.
-
Good updateom, Thank you for the mention, my name is "Spadoni Carlo", although everyone knows me as AMIGASYTEM.

Thanks in advance.

Yes tested on both Native (latest deadwood ISO) and AROS One !

-
Yes tested on both Native (latest deadwood ISO) and AROS One !
Thanks AmigaSystem.
I looked at the MUI classes in AROS ONE and found that I had different Zune classes than you.
I was sure I downloaded latest TheBar etc. but does not matter. RNOTunes Working as it should now :)
I will try AROS ONE more in the next few days.
-
On AROS One there is the updated MCC_TheBar package, but you have to replace it with the fix version otherwise RNOTunes does not work properly.
On AROS One there are many more things than in the Build, I created new Datatypes descriptors and modified existing ones, now all the most common various format files (Audio, Video, Text etc..) have a custom icon and tool, both Wanderer and Dopus4 side, many files will be recognized even without extension.
When you try it you will find so many things and so many special configurations created by me, almost all the most known third party software is installed and configured, each application has its custom icon, AROS One icons are "all" Dual PNG created by me, about a thousand in Blue, in the next AROS One v1.9 there will be also the new White drawer icons.
-

Here is the complete package of the 5 Skins, in the screenshot instead the Icons "Dual-PNG" I created for AROS One, OS4, OS 3.9, OS 3.2.
Thanks for the skins. BTW. how do you create the glow effect in PNG icons? If you want, I could include your icons in my archive too.
-
Yes I have attached an Archive with all the IconsDualPNG for RNOTunes
Creating Dual-PNG Icons is super easy to do with "Icon Editor," see attached video
Icon Editor is an excellent native OS4 Icon Editor, but there is also AROS x86 version, you can also find it on my AROS One.
I use an OS3 version which is faster, more qualitative but the OS3 version was never Distributed, use your own copy from Betatester.
You have to be careful, "Icon Editor" if run on OS4, will produce native OS4 Icons (a kind of PowerIcons), while on AROS and OS3 the icons produced with Icon Editor will be standard Dual-PNG.
On AROS and OS3 the developer was telling me that there are some things missing to be able to create them Native OS4 Icons, I'm fine with that anyway, I prefer better Dual PNG Icons.
To create good Glows the images, They must have excellent transparency, must be smaller than the actual size of the image, this is to have a transparent space on its edges, otherwise you will get a bad Glow.
The Glow can be of different colors, for example on White icons Yellow Glow is not good, I for white icons use the various effects, mirror or other effects, or an internal Glow created on Paint, see attached video
Small Tutorial on Icon Editor :

JVP: I was thinking that if the file requester would go back to last directory you went, adding album art would be very easy.
-
JVP: I was thinking that if the file requester would go back to last directory you went, adding album art would be very easy.
Unfortunately MUI's PopFile objects can't be set with a default path, as far as I can see... so this is more up to OS what its file requesters offer... for example, on MorphOS you get the directory history with right mouse button on the requester, so it makes it quicker to jump to the previous dir, but I don't remember now if AROS has anything like this...
In any case I myself rather add an image into an album directory and avoid editing single tune properties if wanting cover images for albums...
I originally thought that the properties editing is only a fall-back solution if nothing else helps and not to be used for all files generally. Mainly for formats that don't contain metadata and files that aren't arranged on "album" directories.
But one solution that came in my mind, can't you just copy the directory text into clipboard and then just paste it on another tune? Should be quick to just select another tune, hit command-v, select yet another tune, cmd-v, etc?
-
AROS the right mouse button shows in the Request File the various Volumes, to reach quickly, but you can also do this with the "Volume" tab.
To speed up a "Music File" path, for example you can do an Assign to the MusicFile folder, and quickly have the "MusicFile" Volume available in the Request File.
Or RNOTunes you can set a default Request File path, this will allow you to have the Music path available as soon as you open the Request File, to do this you need to mofify the RNOTunes Hollywood config file :)
See discussion posted here:
https://ae.amigalife.org/index.php?topic=774.360

Thanks for the suggestions :)
Edit the Hollywood config. I will try.
MPlayer on AROS remember last directory.

MPlayer on AROS remember last directory.
MPlayer every time it opens a path it saves it in its "Conf" folder the file name is "Lastvisitedpath"
-
Edit the Hollywood config. I will try.
If this means the "Default directory" setting in RNOTunes' settings, it will only affect when adding new tunes into the tune list, but it doesn't help with the cover art file requester.
RNOTunes will remember paths for adding tunes and adding playlists, because they're using the normal file requester which can have the default dir/file set. But the cover art selection in the properties editing isn't using a standard file requester, it's using the MUI Popfile class, which creates both the string gadget and the popup requester gadget as a single object, and with that object the default path is set only according to the contents of the string gadget. So, if I'd pre-fill the string gadget with something then it would use that as the default path for the popup file requester, but pre-filling isn't an option in this particular case, because the cover art string should only show what's already been set... it has to be empty for a new tune that doesn't have anything set for it.
MPlayer on AROS remember last directory.
I guess you mean the regular file requester for adding files? I don't remember MPlayer would have "Popfile" requesters... or maybe in the settings, but they're having some content on them already...

jpv mason icons very nice :D

What if there was a menu entry "add cover art" First open picture, then select all the files you want to add it?

I don't want to restrict it to the cover art only, user must be able to copy any properties :)
But I improved the situation now and made these changes:
1) I removed the Popfile gadget and replaced it by separate string and popup button gadgets. Now the popup requester will use standard file requester and it remembers the previous path and file.
2) I also added new buttons after each property line. These buttons will fill properties from the previously selected tune... so if you open properties for "tune 1", add a cover image for it, select "tune 2", and then click the left arrow at the end of the line, it puts the cover from "tune 1" for the "tune 2" too. So just click these arrow buttons to pick any properties from the previously selected tune.
It's still not "batch adding", but should make it more comfortable to add same info for several files.
Here's a new beta to download (https://jpv.amigaaa.com/RNOTunes/beta/RNOTunes_AROS_beta.lha).
I also added AMIGASYSTEM's graphics on the archive.

JVP: Whow, appreciate it! Donated 10 Euro more.
You must put a link to your page so people can donate.

Thanks! And added some links on the forum profile :)

jPV sorry, in the previous archive there were some imperfections and a duplicate skins, I attach corrected archive link.
Regarding RNOTunes preferences, I noticed that when you do the skin change (GFX), in some cases, in the GFX path the old setting is not deleted completely.

Ok, will fix it.

Hmm.. what do you mean exactly? Is the old dir left as a sub dir in the string or something more messed? Immediately when you select a new skin or after restart or the program?

I created a small video where you can see the problem, some times it strangely works !
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MIvOUNr1yVlN0exi4yV8MsTnTamsf2id/view?usp=share_link
In a few days I should deploy my new version of AROS One, can i include the latest beta of RNOTunes or should I wait for the official Stable version? thanks
-
I created a small video where you can see the problem, some times it strangely works !
Ah, I have a popfile requester there, and if you have a path that doesn't end to the "/" character, it thinks it's a file and not directory and that causes confusion. I'll change it to a popdrawer requester, which should fix the issue, and also put the trailing / on the default config just in case :)

Please wait for the official release.
-
Ok jPV, I will wait for the official release, thank you
-
good news maybe i'm thinking about some other software :)
-
I think the next software is a GUI for SOX quite unique and intuitive, missing a similar tool for AROS, will add to what we have now to work with audio, meanwhile thank you Serk for porting SOX
Stay Tuned!
Aros is Best
-
Ok jPV, I will wait for the official release, thank you
I got the final bits I needed now, I'll just have to make finishing touches and test the last things, but shouldn't take many days anymore. A week at max, maybe sooner. If you want to wait that :)
-
Don't worry there is no hurry, thank you
-
Thank you JPV I will continue with the usual donations :)

Yes the next software I commissioned is a GUI for SOX, an audio editor :D

I have now uploaded RNOTunes (https://jpv.amigaaa.com/RNOTunes/) to Aminet and the AROS Archives, we'll just have to wait it being verified on the sites, or you can grab the final archive from the Uploads section in the AROS Archives. Thank you for the support and the suggestions!
As a bonus, I was able to add AROS support for my RNOInfoScreen (https://jpv.amigaaa.com/RNOInfoScreen/) software and released a new version of it too. It can be used in combination with RNOTunes.

I used to test my programs on a basic AROS installation and Icaros running hosted on Linux, but few months ago I did install AROS One on a virtual machine on Windows, so I've been testing my programs lately with it. It indeed is a more consistent experience.

you can support me too with a small contribution, I opened a patreon page, all the current software is free however I had some economic efforts and I will do it also in the future for the community :D
Enjoy!

RNOTunes and RNOInfoScreen will be available in the upcoming version of AROS One x86.
BTW. there is a small bug in RNOTunes when it's in the plain state with no configs, but it can be fixed easily when adding RNOTunes into distributions like AROS One. Just make sure that there is a RNOTunes/db/ directory (it can be an empty dir). If the "db" directory is missing, adding new users in the Last.fm statistics window will fail.

ok JPV

momentarily my patreon needs to be approved!

Hi, I'm planning to release an update to RNOTunes soonish and I have added some new lines in the catalog file. Could you update it?
Here's a new beta https://jpv.amigaaa.com/RNOTunes/beta/RNOTunes_AROS_beta.lha
The new catalog file is inside the archive and I have changed lines 227 and 228, which need to be re-translated. And then lines 231-263 are new, they have English lines as placeholders now. I made shortcut keys to be translateable too, but if it feels too difficult to find new keys for them, you can leave them as they are.
-
Tried the beta now. Seams to work good :)
One question. The lyrics option seams to now work. It does at least not find lyrics to any of the songs I tried.
Keep on the great work :)

Thanks for testing. I have made some changes in my download function and that might give different results in this case... but actually the lyrics option doesn't work on any platform anymore. The API I am using to fetch lyrics doesn't seem to give any results anymore, and it looks like to be a known issue at their end. I don't know if I should remove the whole lyrics option or should I leave it there if it'd happen to start working again on some day. It seems to be a bit hard to find alternative APIs that would be free without too many limitations... it's a bit grey area with lyrics sharing generally.
-
Thanks anyway jPV, unfortunately it happened as for MusicID "Auto Tag" (search title, artist etc), that no longer works on WinAMP, at the moment only the old "Quintessential Media Player" supports it.
I attach the Italian catalog, I translated everything including the function keys of RNOTunes v1.1
Nice preview of the button set :)

That was a milestone in Amiga software!
-
Yes exactly soon a beta will be released for testing
-
Hello everyone
I received a beta of WCS from Alexander please test if possible the program in brief some clarifications
General:
Basically WCS is working but many things need to be worked on, many other things have already been worked on but need more testing.
- For testing always compare results and behavior to Amiga WCS 2.04!
- All loaded or generated files should be Amiga compatible. If not, please report!
- Should only start if muimaster.library is at least version 19.55
- Project Save Screen: work in progress
- Loading and rendering the example scenes from Amiga WCS 2.04 works.
- Rendered images and Z-Buffers can be saved in all supported formats. Resulting files should be Amiga compatible.
- Data Ops Module:
* Extract DEM not yet tested. Please do so I you have an idea what to do/expect.
* Convert DEM
** Vista -> WCS DEM/bin/ColorMap/ZBuffer/GrayIFF/ColorIFF should work
** ASCII -> WCS DEM should work
** Other source formats conversions not yet finished
* Interpolate DEM not tested
* Import DLG: not yet worked on, probably wrong, could even crash. Please test if you have such files and send example files or link to me.
* Import DXF: not yet worked on, probably wrong, could even crash. Please test if you have such files and send example files or link to me.
* Import WDB: not yet worked on, probably wrong, could even crash. Please test if you have such files and send example files or link to me.
* Export LW: should work. Resulting files can be loaded in Amiga Lightwave
- MapView Module: should work completely
- Parameters Module: should work completely, including Motion Editor -> Cam View
- Render Module: should work completely
https://www.adrive.com/public/grzFCq/wcs_2.04.lha
ps. new muimaster.library is on wcs archive
-
ok the program works even if in beta a user on another forum tried it successfully it's certainly not easy to use I hope it will be useful currently we won't do the upload on archives or aminet because the porting is not finished yet :)
PS. Thanks deadwood for fixing muimaster.library
-
RNOTunes 1.1 has been released (http://aminet.net/search?query=RNOTunes) now, please update to the official release from the previous betas:
- Added button graphics previews in the settings window
- Button graphics can be swapped without restarting the program
- Optimised removal/deletion of tunes
- Added an option to hide/show filename extension(s) when a filename is used as a title in the tune list
- Improved filename extension hiding for formats that start with an extension
- Adding new Last.fm users failed if the db directory didn't exist
- The Last.fm scrobbling setting was left enabled if its initialising was cancelled
- Added import support for M3U8, EXTM3U, PLS, WPL, and XSPF playlists
- External playlists can be dragged & dropped into the tune list if they have a common filename extension (the program exports them as .m3u itself)
- Added support for system notifications via MagicBeacon (MorphOS), Ringhio (OS4), and Ranchero (OS3)
- The delete requester is more verbose
- The position slider works better with the mouse wheel
- Keyboard shortcuts can be localised
- Initial fixes/work-arounds/safety-checks for Vampire and BPPC issues
- Added Flat graphics by Highlander
- Improved documentation
- Added an Italian catalog
- Minor tweaking
-
thanks JPV :)
-
For Italian users, I attach the updated and corrected version of RNOTunes.catalog v1.1 in Italian.
As requested by jPV, the catalog has been saved in the correct "UTF-8" format
-
Thanks

A GUI for Sploiner "Split, Join and Recovery Tool" is in the works
Thank you all :)
-
The author of the new tool for Sploiner is the same as Joingui if possible donate for him who has made himself available and will be available for future projects
-
I hope I can convince a skilled programmer of my acquaintance to bring Raystorm :)
-
I hope I can convince a skilled programmer of my acquaintance to bring Raystorm :)
That's a big task. And I believe the sources are in C++.
But it is possible. And there are other 3D rendering apps that may be ported as well.
-
But it is possible. And there are other 3D rendering apps that may be ported as well.
Yes everything can be useful, of course I would prioritize the everyday sofftware, which is the software that wants to find a user approaching or returning to AROS.
3D Rendering software interests only a few and specific users, many "ordinary" users, do not even know what Modeling and Rendering software is.
-
@miker I'm not sure if the programmer agrees to do the porting, you blender would be the ideal candidate then I'm not aware of other applications in the open world, I could ask him about blender I still have not mentioned anything about it but I think I will stay on the request of the porting of raystorm, @AmigaSystem There is no shortage of applications on Aros certainly we are not at the level of the OS that navigate in the mainstream but slowly we must fill if possible the possible gaps
-
Work continues on the GUI for Sploiner (Split/Join and Recovery Tools)
-
It's MUI. I love it :-*
Remember in the days back I used to use JoinSplitter with my A1200/060. But that tool used GadTools AFAIR.
-
You are a GUI written with Hollywood the program when it comes out will be multiplatform :)
-
I tried the new GUI for the command cli sploiner(split/join/recovery)I split a zip file and it works but join no you can test please
https://www.adrive.com/public/M9MYfh/sloiner-gui.zip
-
Salvo Join works fine ! you have to drag on the GUI "all" and bits !
See video:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oeE-SgAaAyLkz9F25mpKn24kHVob-kEQ/view?usp=share_link
-
I did not drag and drop I clicked on add button for this did not work the join function
-
Yes actually from "Add" file doesn't work, while with drag and drop instead it works fine, report it to papio
-
yes i have reported thanks
-
Salvo I tested a new SploinerGUI version that papio sent me to test, now SploinerGUI works fine with add files, but I found a small problem that papio will see to fix, otherwise it will be reported in the readme.
If, for example, the chopped chunks of a ZIP file, with extension name 000, 001, 002 etc.., if you rename them 00, 01, 02 etc... the resulting archive file will be missing a letter, which can also be in the extension, and the archive will be corrupted :)
Of course it is not a problem if the broken files are created by Sploiner, but if maybe you have to merge bits of files downloaded from the Web with those names they will not be able to be merged.
I am also creating the icons for all platforms.
-
I understand thanks
-
continues the development of WCS, the program in Beta that you find on archives works but needs to be completed in some of its aspects is a very difficult program to use is very powerful in what it does and on aros finds new life :)
-
WCS updates Mail for me:
Hello Salvatore,
there is no news regarding WCS although I am working almost every day on it. Really.
As I wrote I am currently testing the different convert DEM variants. While doing these tests I found an issue when converting DTED data to WCS format. This issue exists in original WCS, too, so I am investigating the code here.
I consider the import/convert of DTED as very important because DTED is the actual source of real world landscape data. So if you want to render landscapes other than the provided examples you need to get other real world data, These are available from USGS earth explorer - in DTED format.
I checked the read function for these files. It took a while to understand this code and eventually I can say it is correct. So the problem seems be in later processing. I am sure will find and solve the issue, but I cannot say how long is will take.
I looked briefly at Raystorm but have never actually ran it. I do not know mesa and never used scuplt 3d. I will focus only at WCS for now.
Of course I will inform you when there is news about WCS. Work is progressing!
Best regards,
Alexander
-
WCS I speak of the original program is affected by some problems that will be solved but it takes some time I'm donating to Alexander you can do it too WCS will become a unique and complete program :)
-
updates regarding WCS, I do not know if you know how to use this program I do not however many things have been solved and having it in our platform is very good, I hope someone will appreciate I personally am still supporting Alexander's work
By Alexander
there is progress. As I wrote I am working on "Convert DEM". This week I managed to solve the DTED ->WCSDEM issues (68k) So we can now load dt1-files from earth explorer, even if they are above 50 degrees north or below 50 degrees south. They can also be scaled to other resolutions. That is a very important feature we can use real world elevation data.
Currently I am working on conversion from DTED to IFF. That does not work if x resolution is not equal y resolution.
-
another software by jpv RNOSlides currently only does the slideshow of the images but will be implemented later the insertion of transition effects including text

-
I was not aware of Earth Esplorer (http://www.google.com/url?q=https://earthexplorer.usgs.gov/&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwjqqp2cvJWAAxUKmGoFHWbhC_wQFnoECAIQAg&usg=AOvVaw1S0IqxVjnLWyHy2A74wIcx) From here you can download new data files for WCS is a new software implementation for both Classic and AROS
-
there are some issues that can be fixed regarding wcs we have to wait for the release

RNOSlides in action
(https://i.ibb.co/zRVQ4kX/slide.png) (https://ibb.co/9THcrMb)
-
Ok, finally had time to concentrate on RNOSlides, and it has progressed nicely lately.
Here's a beta: https://jpv.amigaaa.com/RNOSlides/RNOSlides_AROS_beta.lha
There's an example project included, which you can load to see the program features. Remember to check the Settings window for more options. Space pauses the slideshow and in the "Manual" mode it doesn't progress itself at all but you have to control it with left/right arrow keys.
Let me know if everything works with this base feature set to fill the minimum feature requirements. Then I can see which extra features I can add...
-
Thanks jPV for your commitment to AROS, tried on AROS One x86 and it works very well, I also generated the Video, see screenshot.
I haven't looked at all the functions, there is window view, is there any graphic effect planned in the future ?

I haven't looked at all the functions, there is window view, is there any graphic effect planned in the future ?
I'll try if I can do a crossfade effect option at least, but let's see how well it can be done with both preview slideshow and in the actual video. I'll have to use different techniques for both, so I'm not sure how well they'll match each other then... haven't thought anything else yet, but maybe if we get some doable ideas :) Then it'll need finishing touches everywhere and documentation etc... maybe better ARexx/CLI support (there's some basic already implemented) etc.

If it helps for some ideas on AROS One, MOS and other Amiga platforms there is LookHere, a de 2010 free program developed in Hollywood that does Slides and also has numerous effects.
-
Thanks jPV for your commitment to AROS
Thanks to Amiwell's suggestions and donations :) The programs he has "ordered" from me will always get the first appearance on AROS.

Hmm... I couldn't find a MorphOS version with a quick search. Can it save slideshows with those effects as videos? The main purpose of my program is to create videos from images, and showing them in realtime is just a bonus.
-
LookHere cannot save the video with effects, and PicShow cannot do it either.
After doing some research, the MorpOS version of LookHere was distributed with the upgrade "MorphOSUpgrade_140.lha", all links lead to an Italian forum that is no longer accessible !
