Last one today :-)

Audio evolution runs great on my ol ICaros 2.0 setup but will not launch from 2.3

From the shell it is complaining that it is missing "Bitstream Vera Sans Mono.font/12/

I do not have this font and it is not on the installer CD and my working ICaros does not have it either.

Any ideas?

Trying to get this working into a system to show off on Video :-)

Steve

Trying to change another font to the same name with the size 12.

Sorry clusteruk, to me Audio Evolution starts quietly on my system from both Shell and Icon, and it does not prompt for the "Bitstream Vera Sans Mono.font" (i deleted from my system the fonts Bitstream Vera Sans Mono.font)

Question: from where do you change the fonts on Audio Evolution, I in Prefs do not find this option!

I had a look on Icaros, you didn't need to copy the old Fonts, "Audio Evolution" requires the "Vera" Fonts which on Icaros 2.3 were not installed, basically, all that was needed to start "Audio Evolution" it was "only" to copy the "Vera" Fonts

Thanks for that, however, it was crying out for the Bitstream ones in the error message.

Ii did a clean installation of Icaros 2.3 and had no request for "Bitstream", only the one related to "Vera" fonts.

Very strange. I vaguely remember I had some issues with some fonts names lately. I didn't noticed this prevents AE from running.

It was a fresh install of v2.3 live on a formatted partition, however, two ZIPs would not copy, gnu.zip and games.zip maybe that is it.

Errors of uncopied files always depend on less than perfect DVD burns or suppordo.
My advice is to use the USB image and use a Pendriver to install AROS.

With the Pendrive you install in a few minutes and without encountering file copying problems.

I confirm the problem may be due to the disc or the DVD player
