ALB42 continues to amaze, last developed "AmiTube AROS Downloading" tool that allows you to watch Youtube videos with MPlayer at the desired video resolution.

Released the new version 0.7 of AmiTube for both OS3 and AROS x86, this new version allows you to download videos in the original Youtube format or view them in MPG1 or CDXL formats in various video resolutions.

After testing it seems that the conversion to MPEG1 doesn't work on my OS3 and AROS 68k/x86, I've reported it to the developer.

If someone wants to test the new version of AmiTube 0.7 you can find it on the developer's site:

After my report ALB fixed the MPEG download, now everything works on AROS x86 and AROS 68k.

Very nice!

Does it download and save the video file to the hard disk so that it can be viewed more than once? Can the mpeg file be copied to external drives after downloading?

The original Youtube video you can choose the resolution and download it wherever you want, a request appears for the save path.
CDXL and MPEG1 videos are downloaded to HD in a Movies directory created from program in the AmiTube folder.

AmiTube also allows you to execute CDXL and MPEG1 files in Off-Line mode saved on HD.

I'm creating a tutorial video for the news about AROS One x86

EDIT:

You can find the Video Tutorial and other info on my Thread "AROS One 68k Work In Progress".

Translated the Catalog in Italian, now AmiTube is also in Italian, I attach screenshot of AmiTube on Amiga OS3.9 AfA One :)
