AROS One x86 Work In Progress

New functions installed on AROS One x86, now the system will recognize ADF and DMS floppies (except NO-DOS floppies), and one click is all it takes to mount or unmount the image files.

Also on AROS One, with Dopus4 the ADF and DMS archives will not only be mounted or unmounted, but also and unpacked, and the data will be available in a normal folder.

Not only that, you will also be able to mount an ISO by simply clicking on the Icon, now I am testing FAT32 Floppy Images (.IMG), as soon as I finish I will make a small video showing how these files will be recognized by Wanderer and mounted with a Click.

AROS One is growing even as some ignore the much work spent on making it more modern, more functional, and without the need for Host systems to work.

OWB for what AROS needs works perfectly, Social can be followed elsewhere on PCs, Phones etc...

Even MS-DOS Floppy images now on AROS One x86 can be mounted, simply by clicking on the on Icon, a took a video showing the Mounting of ISO-CD, Floppy ADF, DMS and IMG images, , see screenshot.

Also created two scripts that through an Icon can Unmount CD/DVD and Floppy ADF, DMD and IMG, see screenshot

I have read HERE on amigafrance.com, some interesting posts dedicated to AROS One, the few reported problems have already been solved in previous versions of AROS One.

If anyone here frequents amigafrance.com, could you inform them of the solved problems and maybe also list all the news of the updated versions of AROS One, or to visit this forum.

Installed the PxBlue Theme, given the large original size used by this Thema, i decided to make some small changes resizing everything, of course doing these procedures by hand is very complicated in addition to the time you lose, but in the end you are more than happy.

One more Theme, this time inspired by AfA One, as you can see in the screenshot in the Utilities folder in addition to the "Eyect CD/DVD" and "Eyect Floppy" icons, there is a new icon dedicated to the installation of "ntfs-handler".

This icon named Install-NTFS, will rename and copy the "ntfs3g-handler" from the Storage folder to L:ntfs-handler

On AROS One "ntfs-handler" is not installed by default, because if there are also Windows partitions on the Disk, "transparent" ghost icons will be shown which are not nice to see as well as annoying.

That said if you should need it just click on the Install-NTFS icon, then when you no longer need ntfs-handler, you can delete it manually.

Updated Murks IDE to new version 0.6.1 on AROS One x86, updated and fixed the 5 Buttonsets, on all Buttonsets new Buttons were added which includes the new version of Murks.

Fixed the "AAEDT" program used to download the list and applications from http://archives.aros-exec.org

Now "AAEDT" works fine, basically by mistake I had deleted the Wireless.prefs file from the Env-Archive

I am creating a User's Manual for AROS One, probably it will be in PDF, Doc, AmigaGuide and Htm Formats.

The Manuals will be in two languages English "Translated" and Italian, then maybe if someone would like to translate it into their own language or improve my English Translated, I will be happy with the cooperation, i attach small draft

Thanks amigamia, actually there is a lot of work behind AROS One, a lot of painstaking testing done file by file.

I started from a Nightly Build and slowly updated it with care and testing every thing added, then the rest was done by the developers with their updates.

AROS One 1.9 could be ready, of course the software updates are not lacking and especially the thousand new icons also in White version that make AROS One even more beautiful.

The Manual is complete, there are no images, I preferred to attach Video Links that are easier to understand, then maybe if I missed something you will point it out to me.

This is the Menu of the Amiga Guide version, it also works well with the Windows version Viewer, see screenshot !
