For SMB2 mounting, the final solution was found for the automatic mounting of the Network Shared Folder or Unity.

In practice there were two drawbacks, the first one was if SMB2 and its Icon were copied to WBStartup or via User-startup execution, in which case the SMB2 DOSDrivers were mounted too early before the system was connected, consequently the mount failed and the DOSDrivers had to be renamed to be mounted.

The other drawback was if SMB2 and its Icon were copied to Devs/DOSDrivers, in this case the Mounting was done automatically without errors, but the connection was not Active, no Icon on the Wanderer, to activate the connection and have the icon appear on the Wanderer you had to first type SMB2: somewhere (Shell or Dopus4).

The first solution I found was to copy SMB2 and its Icon to Storage/DOSDriver and then click on the SMB2 Icon on the Wanderer or AmiStart.

The solution found now allows automatic mounting, which was successfully tested on native AROS installed on a PC and on WMvare.
In practice, SMB2 and its Icon must be copied to Devs/DOSDrivers, while a small script must be created and copied to WBStartup, where the SMB2 command must be inside it, preceded by a Wait with a minimum time value in order to delay the assembly and give the system time to connect to the network.

Info and scripts will be available in the next AROS One, the described procedure can only be done after the user has created his personal SMB2 that includes his Network data.

After completion of the ISO and USB Image Tests, the new AROS One 2.5 will be available for download later this week.

For "Burning" the USB Image you will still have to use Rufus v3.2, unfortunately the stable version of Rufus 4.5 released a few days ago can correctly create the USB Image, but once burned and started AROS after the Grub will not find the SFS Partition.

The same USB Image created Rufus 4.5 can be "Burned" with Rufus v3.2 without any errors, the created Live Pendrive will boot AROS One safely.

From the screenshot you can see the new Theme and Amifox logged into Facebook, at the same time Mplayer plays a streaming MP3 and OWB opens the Aros archive site

For AmiStart created new Icons on the vertical bar, see screenshot, now have better visibility.
The style is the one used for AROS One 68k, but in the future it may also become the default icon for AROS One x86.

New Descriptors were created and others improved, now the most common Floppy, CD-DVD, HD and HardFile images are recognised by Wanderer even if the files have no extension.

Of course if anyone is interested in a particular Descriptor for a particular file format, and having an associated Def_Icon, they can request one.

Regarding Floppy Images (.IMG) and HD Images (.IMG), despite the same extension, the Workbench will know which Def_Icon and which tool to use, see screenshot

Of course, these Descriptors also work perfectly on AMiGA OS3 and OS4.

An exclusive gift to all AROS One users from developer Juan Carlos !

The final version of "Pintor Wb" has been released. Compared to the previous version, this new release includes improvements and a few more effects/filters.

Pintor Wb comes with a manual that includes practical examples of what the application can do, and unlike the version uploaded to the AROS archives, the AROS One version includes a few extra features and the registration key that unlocks the option to save images

Of course, those who do not use AROS One can make a personal request for the registration key directly to the developer as described in the manual.

New version of 'Crono', a programme for creating Monthly or Yearly Calendars styled as Grids or as Lists.

Crono allows you to add backgrounds in the most common graphic formats, choose the colour of the Calendar background, supports 26 languages, multiple print formats, mark particular days as holidays with the colour of your choice, and save the Calendar as a PDF.

You will find the new "Chrono" on AROS One v2.5 Upadate 1

All the update has been recovered, AROS One and again Work In Progress, thanks to Terminills' permission on the next AROS One 2.6 you will find installed Final Write 7.1 Demo, I would say a very good Word Processor.

The Full version of Final Write v7.0 for AROS x86 ABIv0 is also available on the Terminills website, the Full version of Final Write 7.1 is currently only available for Apollo OS/AROS MC68K and ABIv1 64Bit.

Here we go if there are no other problems soon the new AROS One v1.26 will be available for download.

There will also be an update via the standard installer from version 2.5 to the new version 2.6.

AmiFox can also play YouTube videos and does so via the integrated Amitube!

Today I wanted to see if it was possible to use wallpapers on MPlayer and I must say that thanks to MUI/Zune the operation is possible.

In the next version or update it will be possible to change Wallpapers and Buttons also possible to interchange Wallpapers with Buttons, this is possible as both have different methods of setting Preferences.

Of course all users could create their own Themes, maybe with different Backgrounds and Buttons, of course some AROS/Amiga experience is needed, but if anyone wants information on how to create them they can do so in the Thread AROS One Support, Tips And Requests.

For those who don't know Mplayer (It exists only on AROS and MorphOS) is a Multimedia Player that supports all common Video and Audio formats.

MorphOS Users could also use it, but will have to do a manual installation!

I enclose screenshots where you can see some Wallpaper and Button combinations

About ten days ago the Youtube Channel of InstallOS published a video on how to install AROS One, too bad it showed the old version of AROS One 2.5.

The Video is of Good workmanship, it lasted minimum the time to install AROS One, I liked a lot the commentary of course positive, the only thing that you can notice is that the author is not a connoisseur of Amiga/AROS you can notice it when he tries to use some Application.

I enclose a link to the Video Tutorial on how to install AROS One, but be careful in the tutorial he skipped the "Wipe Disk", fundamental when using Hardisik or other peripherals previously used for Windows, MAC or Linux installations.

Basically the "Wipe Disk" wipes any bootloader and writes the native Amiga RDB, in his case it was not necessary because he used a Virtual HardFile on VM, for the rest all the procedure is correct, here is the link of the video:

A few hours ago another video on AROS One 2.6 was posted, a user tested it in VM and was happy with it without encountering any problems, a nice video (168 views in 5 hours)

Since with CAB Archives it seems that it is not possible to unpack them from Wanderer, but only from Dos, I found a way to do it through a simple Icon from Wanderer using the magic WBXCLI command created by the good "magorium"

I would like to point out that there are 2 types of CAB Archives (there is also a third one which is not used much), not to be confused, one is the "cabinet" used by Microsoft, the other by "InstallShield cabinet", usually the files are named "_sys.cab", "data1.hdr", "data1.cab", "data2.cab".

Wander thanks to two of my descriptors will recognise both CAB formats and associate the correct tool to unpack them.

I remind you that Microsoft CABs can be unpacked with the "Cabextract" command while "InstallShield" CABs can be unpacked with the "Unshield" command

To unpack both CABs, simply double-click on the icon and the data will automatically be unpacked in RAM in a folder called "Unpacked".

The "Unpacked" folder does not have a physical Icon will be visible if "Show all files" is set, on AROS One this setting on the RAM Icon is set by default.

I enclose Video Tutorial showing how to unpack the two versions of CAB from Wanderer and Dops4 (Microsoft CAB only)

Created new Pointers for AROS One, the Pointers have as "Busy" the same arrow with a small circle that will indicate when the Pointer is Busy, these Pointers will be in addition to those created by me previously.
