AROS One x86 Work In Progress

Created a new SMB2 script, now on AROS One you can Mount SMB2, SMB2-Dismount, SMB2-Restart (when the share is distracted by Windows). I attach a video showing the functionality of the 3 scripts.

Those who install AROS One, to benefit from these scripts will first have to create the DOSDrivers (SMB2) with SMB2-GUI, which in turn will install the MountList + Icon (SMB2) in SYS:Storage. Having done this, the user will be able to mount from a Shell or the SMB2.info icon.

After mounting you will also be able to use the SMB2-Dismount and SMB2-Restart scripts, see video:

Found one tiny bug. When opening Utilities from the start menu, then opening any app, the title bar of the Utilities menu gets corrupted. I attached a small video demonstrating this.

Is this also happening if you open the Utilities directory from Wanderer? (AROS One DVD -> Utilities)

Yes I confirm it happens only with amistart, from wanderer there is no corrupted window title.

Actually on amistart you should not click on the folder "Utilities" but in its contents, in fact the other items in amistart are not clickable, only "Utilities" is clickable, I will see if something can be corrected, or I will make "Utilities" not clickable like the folders "System" and "Prefs"

Made some verifications, in fact in the Amistart menu, the folders "Utilities" that "System", have been inserted as "FileSystem", and this allows you to click on the main item and create the bug, if instead you choose "Application" you can no longer click on the item "Utilities" and "System", but only on the applications included in the list.

Now the problem is that "Utilities" that "System" cannot be configured as "Application," because the scripts to configure folder and its contents are missing, an operation that I think can only be done manually, already tried and it seems to work fine.

After some testing done, the "Utilities" and "System menus of AmiStart on AROS One, will now be changed and set as "Application," you will no longer be able to click to open the Directory, but you will be able to click all the configured applications (see screenshot), of course each user will be able to delete or add what they want.

Strangely, no. The only way I was able to make this happen is if I open Wanderer from that menu.

This is an Amistart Bug, basically it only happens if you open a folder from Amistart.

If you try to open folders from Wanderer, and then run an application from AmiStart no corruption happens on the title bar.

For this reason I fixed Amistart, I disabled the ability to open a window, now if you try to click on "Utilities" or "Prefs" nothing will happen, no folder will be opened.


I attach here the fix, you need to copy these files to the SYS:System/AmiStart path:

Updated SilkRAW to the new version 2.0 on AROS One

SilkRAW is a program that allows you to work with RAW files generated by digital cameras.

On AROS One, in addition to Dopus4 also on Wandere you can preview a "TrueType" Font by simply clicking on the icon.

Thanks to the "ViewFont" included on Dopus5, now on AROS One with Dopus4 but also on Wanderer, it is possible to view native Amiga and AROS "bitmap fonts" with a simple double-click on the file.

Now on AROS One all fonts used on Amiga and AROS are viewable with one click on both Dopus4 and wanderer.

Created the Datatypes Descriptor for "Bitmap Fonts" and "TrueType Fonts", in the next AROS One x86 all the mentioned Fonts will have an Icon (def_Font, def_TTF) with the Fonts display tool.

Also directories including Fonts now have an Icon, this will speed up Fonts browsing, I would say a nice update, until yesterday no AROS Application could show "Bitmap Fonts" and "TrueType Fonts" through an Icon.

On AROS One x86 there is also "FontTester" which also allows you to test Fonts on a background, but it cannot be associated as a tool in the tooltype icon , missing function, so for quick reference it is very convenient to do it through the icon.
