For those who do not know, a few months ago the new OS 3.2 was released, it is an update of OS 3.1, its applications are not supported by other OS, if you install OS 3.2 on other OS will create conflicts and slowdowns.

Also, do not install parts of OS 3.2 on OS 3.9 because OS 3.2 applications will not work because of some updated libraries in the KickStart of OS 3.2.

This lack of new libraries can not be avoided even if you use Kickstart 3.2, there is a solution but it is for experienced users, also the localization files of O 3.2 are not compatible with those of applications installed on OS 3.9.

This is my OS 3.2 RTG in white suit, configured the GUIs of some Players expressly for Os 3.2

Based on your experience, what are the main benefits of using 3.2 over 3.1?

For those who use the Amiga for games or old applications, no benefit.

OS 3.2 is an update of OS 3.1 and includes lots of improvements but as said it is not much more "modern" than OS 3.9 BB4, AmigaOS 3.2 comes packed with well over 100 new features, dozens of updates and so many of bugfixes, attach FAQ.

At the moment there are some minor incompatibilities with some applications like ScalaMM, AfA OS, VirualPrefs but they are working on them.

The only downside is that despite having integrated Reaction into the system, the GUIs remain static (you can't adjust the size of the windows) and have an old-style OS 3.1 localisation that is incompatible with OS 3.9.

Come detto OS 3.2 non puņ essere "mischiato" con altri OS altrimenti si rischiano rallentamenti e mal funzionamenti

Impressed by what? everything shown in the video was already on OS 3.9 BB4, some with the help of external apps !

AmigaOS 3.9 is a set of crutches, imho. It's clear that having the rights, you can pile any nonsense into the distributive, but this doesn't mean that this should be done. From this video, it can be seen that testing AmigaOS 4 and AmigaOS 3.1.4 became a testing ground that allowed the selection and implementation of the most important changes for the user in AmigaOS 3.2. Not any, but important ones. This AmigaOS is already usable today.

I've always used Opus 5, but then moved away from it towards a clean AmigaOS 3.9 desktop. This was not enough to work and had to add even more crutches. This affected stability very badly, the system became as overloaded as the installed AmiKit. And now I see that my crutches in AmigaOS 3.2 are simply not needed (provided that all these new features aren't buggy, and I have not used it yet). Because if, for example, iconization is buggy like AmiKit or the latest AROS ABIv1, then it is not needed. But if it works reliably!

I think AmigaOS 3.2 needs time to take place, while amigaos 3.5+ was stillborn initially.
I will definitely buy AmigaOS 3.2 and see it. Later. :)

Crutches are also there on OS 3.2 even though they are built in, on WinUAE with the same hardware configuration my AfA One RTG boots faster than OS 3.2 RTG, despite AfA One having more software to boot and a bigger configuration later inherited by AROS One.

Amikit is not a well maintained distribution, Dopus5 already makes it a brick, Dopus 5 is famous for its bugs and slowness in handling windows and icons, Peterk had to create a special icon.library to speed up Dopus5.

Amikit has a nice look thanks to AfA OS but a 3.9 BB4 OS with AfA OS is another matter.

OS 3.2 it doesn't support AfA OS and this makes it not very modern, Amikit without AfA OS if it will use OS 3.2 will have to take a step back in time in terms of RTG graphics.
