Dear friends of Amiga. I follow the development of the Aros system with interest. Tell me exactly the road map for now! can you tell Also, why the cracked sounds, which I feel so uncomfortable with, never stop. What is actively currently being developed? what is wanted to be done. I would be grateful if you could let me know about it.

There's only one system developer left. Here's a new blog entry. Warning: abiv0 fans will be butt-kicked.

I read the blog post. I would say it is unwise to upset people unnecessarily. I want to learn AROS is being developed for i386 _64?

Since AROS is platform independent, we are trying to support all available variants, but amiga-m68k, the native and linux-hosted variants of x86_64 are actually getting the most attention.

I am a former Amiga user. When I saw Aros, a hope arose in me. In the years I used the Amiga, Gui was way ahead of its time. I observed Icaros. He has taken an incredible path. It's a terrible tragedy that there is only one devoted developer left right now. Apple should be appreciated in this regard. Because he was not bigoted in adapting to the past and adapting to new technology. Watch what they do with the M1. Aros should leave 68k. Nostalgia should only stay behind. It should emulate old programs. It should fully adapt to the new technology. The gui structure must be faithfully modernized. I think people will enjoy using AROS if the right progress is made.

I am also thinking of doing code reading on aros x86_64 and coding in gui and menu structure. I also strongly condemn Aros being left alone after so long. I'm not a very good coder. I am very newbie. And I'm just retired. But what could be a better job than devoting my time to it?
I thank the people who have done something for all Aros.

First of all. Hi Mazze, long time. Nice to see you post here :)

Haha, yes, read it. It is like a dictatorship in an open source platform. He do not own or controll AROS in any way.
ABI v.1 as a native platform for i386, AMD64 will never happen. It will be buggy as hell and useless. Neil is not here anymore to fix all the bugs.

I'm sorry I'm not a programmer and I certainly can't explain the difference to you, I only know that I've been using aros for at least 15 years and currently software for it continues to be developed

Just think of them as not compatible.
ABI v.1 was going to take over for ABI v.0 many years ago. The problem is that it did not happen.
One reason is that it is not a stable branch. That means it can be broken again and again and therefore the
programs compiled for it will have to be compiled again. Other reason is that the development tools are buggy. The same goes with the system. This is all about the i386 version. All other AROS versions are ABI v.1
