I have compiled the alt-abivo branch with the new improvements introduced by deadwood, they are noticeable immediately after updating your system, it will be more responsive, stable and incredibly fluent

just replace the live cd files with those of your system, if grub doesn't start anymore, reinstall it from it

I had luck in compiling imho , horewer the work is of deadwood and shulz seems to me
