Hi, I am new to AROS, I was an Amiga user a very long time ago but I had to move on after the demise of Commodore and went to work on PCs. I would love to get back into using the Amiga and I thought AROS would be a good way forward.

hi

i use aros "icaros desktop" to native mode on hp z600, but there is the problem whit the browser odyssey for example "ebay or facebook" and i use rdesktop on a thin client with win 7.

Icaros is most likely your best way to start.

Lucky you, I am trying to configure Icaros on a vmware on a windows machine and I cannot get the network to work. I wish I could connect to the internet and download something to start doing some work on it..

that's odd. Icaros should go to the network right after installation, on a vmware virtual machine. If you aren't able to ping anything on the web, try placing the 8.8.8.8 address in the DNS field of Icaros' network preferences. Standard card to use is PCNET32.device.
