Could some try to compile Zune tools from Yannick to AROS 64?

I realy need at least Zuneview and Zunepaint for my AspireOS 64 distro.

Hi guys,

If I didn’t make any weird changes, ZuneTools should still compile and work under 64 bits Aros, I’ve made the required corrections some months ago.
I will compile and put on sourceforge what works in the next days (weeks) as I have time.

Yannick

That is fantastic news Yannick. Your progs. are my favorite for AROS. Native, original, stable apps. Not some alien crap as most software for AROS is.

That's a great news I was eagerly expecting. Maybe I can start working on Icaros 64 after all...

Don't be so fast!
I've tried to make an install of latest 64bits native build under virtualbox and got into some troubles:
- System isn't starting with more than one storage device connected (HD, CD, USB), after install I had to disable CD to be able to boot using HD, when an USB key is connected I can't boot either
- Once installed I'm trying to install contrib SW
   - here I have an issue, contrib is comming in tar.bz2 archive but tar is not part of main install, it is only in contrib (chicken and egg issue)
   - of course I can extract tar from the archive under Linux or Windows, but it isn't the best way to simplify the process
- With contrib finally extracted the path final set-up isn't trivial anymore (I do not remember having to modify path an assigns in startup sequences myself earlier)
- Now trying to compile I have no success (gcc stay stuck)

I will continue later on, I still have an older 64bits aros install on another computer, but ABI might have evolved since then.

BR,
Yannick

There is problem with optical. It is being looked into. Problem is that aros64 dont boot for uSB or other drive even if it is no disk in drive. Can you get up the boot menu. Hit space after grub selection and select USB as first boot device. That should solve it for now.  Regarding the contrib archive. I will report that problem. Thanks for the info.

Yannick: It is not good with older Aros64 version.  As you say.  Abi changed and is not compatible anymore. What you report is very important so we can change, fix issues.

I got some answers from Kalamatee.

He don't think the native compiler work yet.
The git binaries does not yet work.

He will start fixing this soon. For now I guess AROS64 is on hold regarding porting to it.
Sorry for the trouble. Hope you can look at it again when it is up and running.

My issue is not booting from USB device, but booting from HDD when there is a USB key connected (or a CD drive connected).
The boot process hangs before going to Wanderer.
