Couple weeks ago i've tested AROS on my A600 with ACA620 at the beginning my experience was not good because of a lack of cpu power. Then I've found Workbook a gadtools based workbench replacement (Wanderer is Zune based). It was much more responsive but it lacks of basic features like execute command, rename, etc. Also it has many annoying bugs. So I came here to give some love to workbook.  At this moment I've took out workbook sources out of AROS repo and put them in separate repository.  I did that because my changes caused issues with kickstart build. At some point I will try to fit this badboy in rom again.

You can find my code here:

Any comments and remarks will be appreciated. And guys keep in mind that I'm completely new to AmigaOS API and C language, so I can make some silly errors.

Hello jarokuczi,

First a welcome to these forums and AROS in general.

Thank you for your love towards Workbook. It really could use some.

AmigaOS api is perhaps a tad different then you average API, but not too difficult to grasp.

Uhm, yeah. Trying to fit it back in again might be a bit tricky  ;)

Hello jarokuczi,

Welcome to AROS. If you have any technical questions about the API, let me know. :)
