I down loaded Godot for Win and it appears to be good.
Admission, I did not do much with it.
I checked out a demo and modified it some.

The site mentioned that it could compile easy for other platforms.
It avoided Dependency Hell.

Requires OpenGL ES 2 or OpenGL 3 last I checked.  Promising for systems with lots of RAM though.

Bellow that until now, but new graphic drivers with a new OpenGL version is around the corner
