Closing down just AROS hosted

Hi,

I have installed a hosted AROS for 64-bit. (If I was supposed to do anything special for it, that might be a problem.)
I toyed around in it, and now I want to leave AROS.
Obviously, if I switch off the computer, I'll no longer be in AROS, but I have more stuff running.
However, when I tell Wanderer to Shut Down, it has only two other options: Restart the entire Computer of restart just AROS.

I vaguely recall protesting that that's wrong for hosted: It does not control the entire machine, so its options should be just for AROS. Was anything ever done about that, only I don't see it? Or do I have to report it as a bug (if I recall how)?

Strange as I have 3 options, or actually 4 (see attached picture).

Which version of AROS did you install ?

If you care about such semantics then feel free to file a report. From my personal point of view you are technically shutting down AROS so that is within the explanation of shutting down for me.
Wrt filing a report, it is all github these days so simply head over to the issues page, create a new issue (top right) then login to your github account and file the issue. Things are basically right in front of you each step of the way.

Last Thursday's, I think. I can't check, right now, as I had to shut down the machine to get out of AROS.

It's not the semantics, that's bothering me, but control of the wrong function. Indeed, I am trying to shut down AROS, so getting options to instead control the entire machine, but not the option to actually just shut down AROS, is a bother.

How do I get a GIThub account? (Last time I did any development-wise, we had not yet moved to GIT.)

Specify which AROS and where you downloaded the Build, I don't recall seeing a request with only 2 options

Can you take a screenshot of the request?

A "hosted AROS for 64-bit", from "Last Thursday's, I think." Do you really need the details? I do recall seeing a requester there with only two options, but that was quite a while ago, when we were still trying to get AROS to work at all. But it's hardly relevant for today, as the requester we are now talking about had four buttons: It was a Shut Down (1) requester, plus " two other options" (+2), and any non-singular requester has a Cancel (+1): 1 +2 +1= 4. Nothing unusual.

I could, if you really wanted me to, but it would be little different from the image "Magorium" added.

The point is, that it indeed ought to be different. AROS should be able to switch itself off, and for a native version, that mean AROS being able to switch off the computer. But for hosted, AROS is no more than a single task, and AROS should be able to switch off that task, rather than switch of the entire machine. I am still unsure whether I would even like having the  option to completely switch off: It would be convenient sometimes, but it's rather dangerous. I guess, maybe it could be included with confirmation after it.

But what ought to be there, would be the button to just switch off AROS. That would be a button to only kill that one task, but keep the machine running.
[Power down (After confirm)]   [Kill AROS]   [Restart AROS]   [Cancel]
Thus, there would be no "Reset Computer" button, but for Hosted, the state of the computer is not really AROS-es concern. There is indeed a Power Down, for convenience, but logically it's on the wrong level of abstraction.

It is important to know in so far that it is at least necessary to know which exact version of AROS that was downloaded. Remember the talk about ABI's ?

All we can guess now is that you went over to www.aros.org but a) you still can choose between different ABI's to download there and b) 99% of the people around here do not use these downloads (anymore) and c) a github repository is "fresh" every day/night (as well) but what repository landed in your browser is unknown to us  :)

Yes, but those questions are related to the misinterpretation of the number of buttons. Having confirmed that we're talking about current AROS, the only relevant bit is that it's hosted, but that hosted in this instance behaves as if it's the only task on the machine.

Well, it would seem logical to assume that if we provide builds every night in the official location for AROS for testing, that people would actually use those. And I know nothing of GIT anyway.

But, OK, to keep you from getting your knickers in a twist, I'll see what it said I moved to the AROS machine:
