Hey all,

Aros Exec will go down, for good on 19.09.2023. Due to my new health situation and also income, i do no longer have the health or even money to keep this (and other) sites online.

I opened AE in march i think it was of 2004 and have been running this site for you guys ever since, but at some point, it has to stop and for me that is now.

I am also pulling out of Archives, which is another webpage i started. Here you can keep it up yourself, its not running on anything i control.

I will still keep the AROS Discord up, but if anyone wants to take it over, let me know.

That is my short and simple goodbye.

I'm sorry I have health problems for many years and I think I understand well if you want I offer to manage the site even if I do not know how to do it let's feel in private, meanwhile I wish you the best

Dear Ola,

I am very sorry to hear about your current situation. In that regards I wish for you (and your family) the strength and wisdom to cope with your current situation. I wish you all the best in the world.

I want to thank you for the time that you have spend on/with us with your dedication for the Amiga and Aros scene (at least that is where I know you from).

I can't thank you enough for all the conversations we had, the input you have given me/us and the support & wisdom you have shared with us over all these years. It has been a long (and remarkable) time.

I find it remarkable that even in a time like this you were able to give us notice of your current situation. It is one of the examples that defines you as a person.

Note that even in absence you will for always be in our thoughts.

Really sad news; AROS-Exec  is an invaluable resource but health has to come first.

This is sad news indeed! Thank you for all your many years of service in supporting AROS and its derivatives. Perhaps, until then someone can migrate the content to another hosting service if you are willing to provide backups?

Alternatively, I can keep https://www.arosworld.org  active if no solution is found for AE. I had plans to discontinue it as well due to almost zero traffic on it but I guess that is not a good idea yet.

Sad you hear about your health issues   I hope you are able to manage them   Thanks for all you have done in keeping AROS-EXEC going

Would you be willing to provide a backup of the site so that someone or others could host this great resource on another provider

I'm willing to help out where needed, not ready to let this site go quite yet

At the moment I think it's a good idea to transition to Aros World, you also have to think about archives if you have expenses to incur I can contribute

Archives are managed by me right now and I've made arrangements for them to stay working. Note that we don't control the domain, so it can dissappear at some point, but site will keep on working.

ok deadwood I made an appeal to move to arosworld who wants can do it immediately so much in September this site will close if you need the domain for archives I can make myself available
