AROS One native first run

After few obstacles I managed to Install AROS One on my laptop ASUS M50V.

The installation was from USB flash drive.

AROS is the ONLY OS on this machine.

And, as usual, it's the time to start many questions for configuring things and making things to work.
I will play some time and you expect questions for sure

Can you set ATA compatibility from BIOS?

Yes, as I already mentioned, I have 2 options there: Enhanced and Compatible

I am glad you chose and installed AROS One, you can ask all the questions you want, AROS One is everyone's, and everyone can participate or give advice, of course within the limits of my experience !

AROS One wants to be a modern AMiGA system, for those nostalgic for old Amiga and old software there is the excellent WinUAE !

Maybe that's the problem your laptop doesn't support ATA emulation or legacy mode

No, it's not a problem. I switched that option to "Compatible", and AROS get installed and works pretty good.

Yes. I love it because it feels like AmigaOS on a highway. [top secret mode on] IMHO MorphOS team should switch to x86.[top secret mode off]
For me personally AROS is actually AmigaOS on an open road.
The few top things that, IMHO, make Amiga unique are: configurability of almost everything (with particular focus on MUI), ram disk, screens.

Ok, as for the first run of my AROS, I wanted to make use of wifi, but with "Intel Link 5100" chip I have no chance. Am I right? I can see Intelpro100.device in Devs:networks but it doesn't fit I presume.
I know the atheros5000.device is the best (or the only one?) choice for now. Is this part replaceable in laptops? Any experience?
I can see plenty of files in DEVS:Networks. How many of them refer to wifi devices?

if you can change the wifi card you can take a compatible I did it

Let's assume I can. What model of atheros should I look for? Is the 5000 number in the device's file name a part of physical card's model name?

As you can see from the attached link your "Link 5100" card is not supported, again in the link you can see all the supported WiFi Cards and the Device to use.

Concerning the speed of AROS in native mode, if you have a supported Video Card (in the link there are the supported ones), the speed increases significantly and also 3D Games will be of a speed that OS4 and MOS can only dream of, if they don't pass on x86

The question is does a mini pci-e card fit as the space left to put a card in got smaller over the years

Sorry it is hard to recommend an individual card as it is difficult to work out what chipset versions it contains, the one from netbook acer a110 or a150 works

I use the model AR5006EG mini pci but my laptop is not recent, maybe in the laptop of r-tea the card is integrated the alternative could be the usb dongle netgear WG111v3

No save, netgear WG111v3 doesn't work well, now with the new core it doesn't work anymore, better replace the internal Wifi card

Maybe the R-Tea laptop is too recent and the board is integrated into the mainboard

If physically it doesn't go, then it could use LAN, which among other things is much faster than WiFi
