New software for AROS x86

iConecta: As per my Request Juan Carlo has compiled for AROS x86 the iConecta software, after testing it on mya Acer One Z5, iConecta seems to fuynziona well:

iConecta check if your computer  is online or offline to avoid  bad surprises browsing or downloading.

NOTE: The option Reboot works the Shutdown not, because the computer hasn't this command sofware.

The tool is very easy to use with menu options, available in the next languages English, Spanish, French, talia, German and Polish.

Compiled with the last Hollywood 10.0.

As far as new software for AROS x86 I contacted Rob Smith about using Drawbridge Amiga Floppy Reader/Writer on AROS. He confirmed what I had thought. It needs OS support.

Out of curiosity I attached the USB drawbridge floppy drive to AROS One x86 (Native on real x86 hardware). It recognizes it as a USB UART (com port) device but AROS can't use the drive because it needs a driver, a dedicated library of functions and a user interface like it has for Windows.

I suppose we will have to wait till someone writes a driver.

Trident Prefs sees the USB floppy drive, and also tries to dil read the contents, it also sees the WebCam, unfortunately I think it lacks the recognition software on Wanderer.

JoinGUI: First small programm Cross-platform with Hollywood: a GUI for Join command.

This interface uses the Join command included in your system. The interface makes it
easy to join multiple files in one big. For the moment, many formats have been
attached successfully:

- ISO
- VOB
- MP3
- PNG (DualPNG icon)
- TXT

Other formats are probably compatible but not tested, if you know of any, report it to the developer

The interface uses the Hollywood RapaGUI external module.
Other GUI are under study (FFMPEG, file conversion, etc.).
Don't hesitate to contact the developer if you want a specific project.

HWP_hURL: The multi-protocol data transfer plugin

Preview tested SMB2-GUI for AROS x86 and 68K for Amiga and AROS 68k (will be posted soon on aminet by Yannick Buchy), the GUI works perfectly on AROS One x86 and AROS One 68k, allows you to create the Mountlist (SMB2) and mount it via special tabs.

The generated mountlis is washed out in Storage/DosDrivers, and reused later when needed in mounts, either through an appropriate Icon or from some Menu or Dock Bar.

The mountlist can also be moved to Devs/DosDrivers, but in my opinion it is not recommended; on some systems, mountlis started early before connection will fail and cannot be remounted later.

Yannick Buchy has updated the GUI, it has been improved and completed, now there are new options, among them the name to choose for the AROS volume that will host the share.

New GUI created by Yannick Buchy, it is FlexCatGUI, convenient and simple GUI, where just drag and drop the .CT files and the .CD file, to get the Catalog.

Only requirement is to have "FlexCat2 in the "FlexCat" folder, and the Catalog will be saved in RAM.

Also FlexCatGUI like all GUIs created by Yannick Buchy, in the archive you will find all Icons for various OS (OS3, OS4, MOS and AROS) ceate by me !
