You tried to boot from CDROM, you must select the compatibility of the Sata Archivation units in IDE is possible from the BIOS

No, im trying to boot from an USB, no there no such option in my BIOS settings. I did also ventoy (a usb bootloader that loads iso files) but when trying to do, it gives me an memory error.

sudolinuxper, doing the bualboot is a simple operation if you know what you are doing.

First you have to create a "RAW" partition that AROS will recognize as its HD, if your HD does not have a "raw partition" AROS will take the whole hardisk and destroy partitions and data.

Once a "raw partition" is created, by RAW nounformatted, no uninitialized partition.

Once the Raw Partition is created, AROS will install into that partition and create dualboot with Windows 7/10 etc...

If Windows is not yet installed, the procedure is this:

Start the Windows installation, choose manual installation, create a partition for Windows and the rest you don't have to touch, this will be the raw partition that AROS will recognize as its HD, so summarizing. no initialization (MBR) and no formatting.

If Windows is already installed, if you have a second partition "you have to delete it" and leave it "clean" without performing any operation.

If you don't have a second partition, you have to "shrink/divide" the Windows partition and leave an empty partition without touching it, that will be the disk recognized by AROS.

Before shrinking Windows, do a defragmentation to sopst all the data in the initial part of the disk, if you have a Solid State HD this operation is not necessary.

No, no Windows/Linux/Mac program will be able to create a live AROS USB, this is because the authors are not familiar with AROS/AMIGA

To Create a Live USB drive you have to use an application that you find on both IcarOS and AROS One, it is a particular script that will allow you to create one Bootable USB.

This operation is not easy, to be successful you have to use a "RAW" Pendrive here as well, in this case it may be enough to delete the partitions, you also need a "Wipe Partition", even if for a few minutes, this is needed to be sure that the Windows bootloder is deleted completely.

With IcarOS (experimental) and AROS One there is also a USB image "ready-made" to create a USB LIve, ready to be burned with "Rufus" or other "compatible" program, you find all the information on the IcarOS and AROS One sites.

Oh ok, this explains a lot, thanks, and about the wipe partition, you mean i need to completely format my Pendrive, right ?

No, no initialization and no formatting, otherwise the Pendrive will not be bootable.

You have to delete all partitions and if that doesn't work, proceed with a "Wipe Disk", some pendrives with partition deletion don't clean the bootloader area well, the "Wipe Disk" instead cleans better !

Oh ok, so let me recap what i have to do:

1 - Clean up the whole pendrive and remove every partition in it
2 - Make an second partition for AROS to use
3 - get the pendrive image and restore it
4 - Boot from it
5 - Install IcarOS Desktop.

OK, and i think that it, did a miss something or something isn't right ?

Yes, the steps are those, Pendriver "totally" RAW, if necessary also do a WipeDisk

HD where to install AROS must have an "uninitialized" and not "formatted" partition

Start the Pendriver and run "InstallAROS", install AROS on "visible" disk, which then is the RAW partition.

As a first experience clone your HD, so you can restore your Windows data in case you screw something up.

Soo, ok so now i can boot from the USB with IcarOS in it, the problem is when trying to choose the option in the Install AROS app it says that the disk is full, which is not true since there free space on my disk as a unformated partition:

Also my usb mouse doesnt seems to work on IcarOS, i gotta use the trackpad, which is really janky

If the disk where you install AROS is disk 2 (Removable), it should work fine, what device and what drive did you use?
it is probably on these parameters that you are doing something wrong.

the disk 2 (Removable) how do you Aviate it from PC, "alone" as internal Hardisk or external USB?
