Hi miker, I noticed 2 problems with IconClone.

- If an icon has a dot (.) in its name, IconClone doesn't recognize it and if you try to swap image, IconClone crashes.

- If you have to swap multiple icons with one icon, strange things happen after the fourth icon

Yes thanks miker, take your time and when you have available time, I reported this problem because on AROS/Amiga there are many files that include "a dot", see audio file formats, video, text etc..

Sorry, i also encountered a problem with "Volume Icon" DH0, Ram etc....

This happens with both Native AROS and DualPNG icons, with Native AROS icons the image is corrupted, with DualPNG Icons on the other hand the image splits.

In this instance the problem is that these types of icons aren't fully supported. This looks like AROS 68k.

That will be fixed on the next version. That will be 1.9

It is not a problem of icon type or graphic, any icon "if used as disk icon" creates that problem , the same icons if you use them as Tools or Project, stanamente do not have this problem.

Basically if you rename the disk icon and use it as a file or folder icon it works fine, see video:

I can't view the AVI video.

I will download to my laptop later and try again. I'll do some testing also to verify.

Strange, it's an MP4 file (Xivid), which you can see with MPlayer, of course first you have to unzip it is a ZIP archival

Hi Miker, may I ask you for a new feature? I'd love IconClone to accept som,e basic inline parameters, at least

that would make changing a icon from the shell a really quick job. Moreover, I'd use it to add a right menu item to Magellan, in order to "Change Icon" and have Dopus5 call iconclone to change the icon with whatever the user likes. It would be enough that running

opened IconClone with the selected source.info icon already open on the left, and let the user do the rest.

I'm starting my second set of revisions for IconClone.

I will modify the int main entry point to accept arguments.
Then it can be used with the GUI or by command line.

P.S. I'm working on my second icon tool called IconPress. The one after that will be IconSplit. Both work with DualPNG & Classic Icons (GlowIcons).  Join or Split either icon class.

All the icon tools will have a drag-n-drop interface. The command line can be used as well. Same as IconClone.

Did you mention that IconClone doesn't work with disk icons? What was the error?

Basically if you try to drag on the IconClone GUI a "Disk" Icon, be it DualPNG, but also AROS native Icons, the graphics will corrupt, if you then try to convert the system crashes !

I would add that among the new functions it would be very nice to have the possibility to change the icon type (Disk, Folder, Tools etc..) as well.

I can't view the video on my phone.

Could you please attach the source icon & destination icon from the video that causes an error so I can examine them.

Strange that your Phone does not see the video, it is a DivX gneric video format ! on AROS you will be able to see it without problems

I converted the video to a generic Phone Samsung format, try to see it, otherwise you tell me what Phone model you have, or I can put it on Youtube if your Phone supports it. !
