Hello.
I wanted to let everyone know I was able to install 2.3 on two machines.
One machine is Ubuntu 20.04 and every thing works, but with exceptions. This one has a Nvida GTS250 card.
The other machine is 18.04 and seems to work a little better than the first. This on has an AMD Radeon 48.30 card.
Graphics seems to be slow.

I need to see if there is a step by step guide to un-install so I can re-install.
Thanks.

Both are Hosted.
Great work by the way.
I ran the horse gl benchmark and it displayed on the 18.04 machine and  not the other.

Might be a compatibility issue between hosted AROS and AMD driver.

To be more clear, the 18.04 Distribution has an AMD card. The 20.04 machine has the Nvidia GTS250 card.
Both machines are running dual core and the performance with Duke Nukem was lacking.

Hello. please may i introduce what i experienced on Aros and new Amiga development...

I was wandered with all the projects i found since lot of time disconnected to this Amiga World. And I found few disrruptive thinks:

1. CommodoreOs Vision from Comodore USA
That was a Linux Debian with User experience modification to fit on AmigaOS flavor, completly nice and few funy sound effects XD
The goal on this was on have Linux under the modded skin and it was abbled to use modern apps for per day using. Unfortunatly the project was discontinuated and now the Devian is out to date and doesnīt usability more since any who updates it...
2. Aros, is the greatest think! the troncal project on many others. Aros is blowing to real x86k AmigaOS, to ARM projects like ApolloOS, to x86 like icaros and to PPC improvements in MorphOS developement comunity. But there is not any Aros for per day use like MorphOS does in PPC architecture.
3. Icaros is great becaus it is able tu run under linux/windows and alone but it is not good to use as stand alone neither hosted because it has to slow experience and problems with x86k apps. It is far away to Amikit experience and other on UAE and as Aros is not a system per day ussage. Unfortunatly it has lot to improve. Bu it is the better I found for x86
4. There was Eares, I tjink it is the way. A Linux with api3 x68k compatibility, on the theory because I didnīt try... I only readed abot and it is the way to achieve the AmigaOS NG.

In other hand we can found UAE and Amiga Real tastes, AfaOS, CoffinOS, AplloOS, Amikit and so... lots of patches using new siftware to be able to use the oldery stuff... nice to remember and to enjoy but not to achieve NG experience.

I found FydeOS, a ChromeOS fork that can run Android an Linux stuff with the Android Os user experience in a desktop skin... it is awesome, you must to try.
In this way I think Aros reach the Top, Aros is in the way.

Aros develpment can on this moment to do the same as FydeOS. Aros can perfectly do AmigaOS experience over Linux to be able to run Linux modern software and execute UAE or FSUAE Launcher to launch oldery stuff and Aros native stuff on top of a linux. The flavor on AmigaOS user experience and the actual Linux store, with Wine, etc...

Aros is on Top of MorphOS, only needs to take the way to do more.
I think you are doing lot effort to launch oldery stuff and that is done in Linux or Windows with WinUAE or whatever like... you , Aros developpers has the goal to be on top of AmigaOS NG stand alone per day Operating System Open Sourced... Better than MorphOS and of course AOS4.

Aros can be over ARM architecture and x86, you can achieve the massive audience.

Iīm just discovering and ready to try Aros One 1.3 and I plann to try Pimiga 1.5 on it, I didīt else but I think i will found lots of problems, first because i just read there is problem ton install on dual boot with my MiniOs10 (Windows10) and may be the x86k will be as the Icaros... slowwwwwwly because it is over a non linux or actual OS needing lot of work to do for achieve hardware proper installations and then having problems to do things are flowing good on WinUAE over Linux running on Wine XD

Thanks a lot to all the Aros developpers, I past 2 intensive months trying all the projects I could...
I hope I helped you with my user experience, and my point of view and expectatives based on my own and more than 500 friends I have in Telegram trying to updute our Amiga nostalgy.

Cheers and be health.

I'm using icaros hosted first of all congratulations to Paolone and his development team, maybe until there is an update to odyssey it could be a compromise, with some tricks it doesn't seem to use linux, however in full screen it is icaros with the advantage of having the support of drivers and new technologies

You must install propietary driver for video board and enjoy
