have changed iconbar.prefs put the new file on sys:prefs/env-archive if after the installation your choice work partition for extras and development file

Update: everything works now.

The PC I was using was faulty. It had many issues.

So I upgraded to a newer PC and it all works as expected.

Dopus5 I had tried only with Icaros but I had encountered stability problems wrapped now that I use it on tiny aros is very good is a complete and very modern desktop interface despite being conceived many years ago I'm happy :D

As far as Dopus Magellan I like the ease of use and the full features. And it looks good too.  :)

There is a directory on storage called utility inside it you will find the aiss package and some icons for hard drives

That's a very good idea. It keeps the download size small.

I don't think the same way, third-party applications to work well must be with the operating system.

Otherwise to an inexperienced user when installing them nothing will work and Gurus will be very frequent.

Many Applications need assignments, stacks and the config files Zune, preferences etc.. i say this from experience

Just bundle it with an installer, like pretty much every app on Windows.

It is not that simple, on Windows applications use write config prcesses to the registry, except for Stand-alone and Portable programs that use the root of the folder for configurations.

For AROS it can be done if there were scripts with installers in the archives, unfortunately no developer uses installer on AROS, although it works well, consider also that each distribution on AROS uses different paths as well as ausare a different workbench (Dopu5, Wanderer, Scalos).

As said for an optimal view of an APP on AROS you have to create and save configs like for example Zune Prefs, where you can store windows size, Color, Fonts, gadgets em many more.
