My new 1980x1080 monitor sometimes is too big for some programs... and Dopus 4 is one of these programs. I'm using it on his own screen... same resolution of Wanderer, and still the filenames are of only 32 characters with the timestamp and comments covering the other filename's characters. This doesn't look too good to me. So... does it need too much work to modify Dopus to show the whole (or at least a bit more) filename? Is this hardcoded into the sources or can it be easily changed?

When I still had my old A4000, I was using a more advanced Dopus that was able to browse inside archives as they were a real directory and it was able to open a text file without the need of adding ".txt" to them. Why those functions are not included in the AROS port?

Ciao Yanosh, that of ".txt" files is due to the "executable" flag, if you remove the executable flag you will see the file as you saw it on A4000.

About the Dopus4 x OS3 and AROS 68k Archives with a double click see as if it were a Directory.

With the Dopus4 AROS x86 this can't be done  (you don't have XAD library), but you can use LMB Double-Click to view the content and Click-MClick-Click to unzip to other windows, watch my videos.

AROS One x86: Dopus4 Associations File

AfA One: Dopus4 LHA, LZX, ZIP Self-explanatory in Directory and MClick (file RAR)

You are right... without the executable flag it work as it should. But this wasn't needed on real Amigas. On Libs I have xadmaster.library 13.1 (26-Nov-2018) and a directory called XAD with these files in it:  7z, ar, bzip, DImp, MSA, PackDir, RAR, xz, ZAP.

On my old AmigaOS 3.9 libs I have these files: ar, bzip, bzip2, CAB, COP, Cpio, DImp, EPF, HA, idPAK, LightFileSystem, LU, LZX, MakeSFX, MS-TNEF, MSA, NiteTimeGamesDos, oe4, PAK, RAR, RPM, SensiDisk, Trackmo-DOS, Wrapster, ZAP, Zoom.

I was able to browse inside almost every archive. Why many of these files are not ported to AROS?

And what about increasing the lenght of the filename shown in the listers? It was good on a low resolution screen but it looks really bad on higher resolution.

I think Dopus4 AROS version ignores "xadmaster.library", on OS3 the XAD folder is much richer in libraries !

So no one can fix Dopus 4 to show more than 32 characters filenames? And what about xadmaster.library?
