Ive had A500 and CD32 SX1 back then.

Recently Ive installed FSUAE on Ubuntu

Now Ive installed AROS One on small SAMSUNG netbook from 2009
It only has 1 gigabyte and had WinXP on it, no install disc, and browsers all broken.

It took me three hours to get the internet connected via wireless hotspot

The installation also wasnt easy, even after succeeding to write the ISO using etcher,
somehow the 16GB drive always had errors then I tried a smaller 4GB drive.

Many of the installed extra softwares dont work or not properly.

Actually I have setup some C compilers on the emulated A1200 all native mode. can get some of the examples to compile, but not all. I Now im trying to understand some more details about AROS.

At least I can now use the netbook for webbrowsing or to view PDFs, as I originally meant to.

The netbook keyboard as usual doesnt work properly, its difficult to get the symbols used for programming. Setting the country does not work.

Strange that you encountered these problems, which application was not working?

Some keyboards such as German, Italian and others had corruptions, not dependent on AROS One, the problem has however been fixed, you can find the new Keymaps in the new build "AROS-20211128-RC1-pc-i386-boot-iso" which you can find HERE

I just dont get whats printed on the keys, the Z gives Y, pretty much all the same whatever application. It is a small samsung netbook from 2009. I have the latest v2.1 installed.
Setting the country with Prefs has no effects.

Maybe external USB keyboard would solve this, though its larger than the netbook itself so theres not as much of a point using it.

Also the blue functions on the keys dont work at all. I think theres was some special samsung software for it. Though in the BIOS at least the keys for display brightness work.

The wireless adapter is strange. Usually it doesnt work after first boot, the icon shows on desktop, but no connection. tnen entering wirelessmanager atheros5000.device on the shell works, though with a long delay

Usually after rebooting, the connection is made automatically then.

I could try anything in the network setting to no effect. When I open the wireless manager my phones hotspot shows up but clicking it has no effect.

so either i need to start the wirelessmanager in the shell and have it two times on the desktop, or reboot.

Can you write down which Samsung model you have? Some Samsungs have a button to set the keyboard language
