Do that red color mean that Atheros AR928X don't work as well as Intel 5100?

Yes red should be what is not supported !

on your computer you can change the wifi card the exact abbreviation is AR5006EG or AR5007EG you can find them on ebay, the problem is not the network card of course must be supported but also the internal STACK-TCP of the system that is currently not very performing

Guys, I went to an pc service shop and told the guy I need Atheros AR5007EG wifi module inside. Luckily he had one and replaced it. Then he turned on a wifi hot-spot in his smartphone. The wifi was open (without a password).
I configured the Network Preferences in AROS (atheros5000.device) and restarted the machine. Then run OWB and I saw google site. I was delighted  Then I clicked fastlinks, and it all work as well.

But in my home it don't work in whatever way. I tried open wifi, WEP, WPA. None works. The wodule is ok, because Wireless Manager shows all available networks.

If you are using AROS One, WiFi WEP, WPA works just fine, if with wifi hot-spot it worked, it must work, make sure you put "Network Name" and "password" well

Go to NetWork Preferences, and put back "Network Name" and "password", see screenshot (my fiber Wifi connection), reboot if necessary !

If still not working, delete all network settings, reboot and reconfigure NetWork Preferences

This is the one to delete:

- Delete folder "AROSTCP"
SYS:Prefs/Env-Archive/AROSTCP

- Delete file Wireless.prefs
SYS:Prefs/Env-Archive/SYS/Wireless.prefs

WPA, which stands for Wi-FiŽ Protected Access, is a data encryption for wireless LANs. It enhances the security features of WEP by using Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) to protect network access and an encryption method to protect data transmissions.

WPA is designed to be used with an 802.1X authentication server that distributes different keys to each user. However, it can also be used in a less secure "Pre-Shared Key (PSK)" mode. PSK is designed for home and small office networks where each user has the same password. WPA-PSK is also called WPA-Personal. WPA-PSK allows the Brother wireless machine to hook into the access point using the TKIP or AES encryption method. WPA2-PSK allows the Brother wireless machine to associate with the access point using the AES encryption method.

Check that your router is configured to allow slower devices such as 802.11g.

If that isn't the problem, turn off network start on boot in Network prefs, reboot and run this command in the shell for debugging purposes:

C:WirelessManager atheros5000.device VERBOSE

...then post some of its output here (it won't show passwords).

first select the device in the first screen in network prefs and then set the wifi network in wireless manager all routers are set to work in WPA function

Sorry guys. Got no time recently.
An additional question: why Aros doubles WiFi networks managing? First there is "Wireless Networks" tab in the "Network Preferences" window. And then there is the "Wireless Manager" window that does the same.
So, which settings are more important?

yes you can add another wifi network but I've never tried to do it

You can use either method, nothing changes, same thing you do with Windows ! if one doesn't work another possibility also.

The only difference is that "Wireless Manager" allows you to see all the provider names, and click on your network, on "Wireless Networks" you have to add by hand.
