What do you mean by "Wipe Partitions", did you use Wipe on ArosInstall ?

Just format DH0: and DH1: during setup, bad choice of words, my bad :-D
I didn't use the first option to clean up entire disk or else i would loose my Windows partition too.
What version of Windows do you have windows 10? Could it be, not detecting W10 only? It doesn't
make sense, it would be detected by filesystem type/partition type.. no?

Ok correct, yes the best procedure is to format the old AROS One and then with InstallAROS use that volume to install the new AROS One.

I use Windows 10 Enterprise, but I never had any problem, I just don't remember which version of AROS One was installed, when the menu included windows, tomorrow I will try 1.9 and then maybe 1.8 and 1.7.

deadwood, the latest version where the Dual-Boot "Win7/Win10" is installed correctly with the Windows entry included, is the "Build ABI_V0 Jun 17 2022" installed on my AROS One v1.9, see screenshot

Ok, I'll check it. So if I understand it correctly, everything works in latest release apart from adding the command to grub.cfg to chainload windows?

@AMIGASYSTEM

Please boot your dual-boot computer with AROS and start HDToolBox. Then make a screen shot for each level (.device -> MBR/EBR -> partition) of your harddrive. I need to understand what AROS sees when looking at your disk.

Here are the screensho, see if they fit!
I took the screenshot on all partitions

- Partition dedicated to the operating system
- Win190 on NTFS
- Share partition FAT32
- AROS One partition

On 02.png please click on the WDC... item so that text box on right hand-side is filled with details.

When installing (in case where the entry is not added to grub.cfg), do you already have Partition3 created as SFS or is it "empty space". In other words, do you select "Use empty space" or "Use existing parititions" in InstallAROS?

I usually install Windows first and leave some space in the partition for Aros, then I proceed with HDToolbox, and even if I overwrite a previously made installation nothing Grub does not recognize the Windows partition, now I don't remember which build the problem started from :-\

Please check this build: https://build.axrt.org/download/builds/AROS-ABIv0/pc-i386-20230702-163909.tar.gz

Bug was in InstallAROS. It should not add the windows entry to grub.cfg.

Sorry for the delay deadwood, just getting home now !

If I click on "02.png" I get the one shown in "03.png"

About the installation, I select "Use existing parititions" if I have to overwrite an old AROS installation, while in a clean installation i had chosen "Use empty space" , I am not sure, if it is necessary I can reinstall everything, with a pendriver it is very fast operation.

I do not use HDToolbox to create partitions, my procedure is this.

I start the Win7/Win10 installation, select a manual installation and create the "leave the last one" raw partitions.

After the Win7/Win10 installation is finished, I boot the PC with AROS One and Installer and select "Use empty space"
