AMIGASYSTEM I am dual booting my Mac mini with AROS / Windows7 and I have an entry like the attached photo on grub.cfg
Maybe adding and adapting to your disk layout. I am at this moment installing Aros One 2.1 on the mini to see if I have the same issue .

Which version of AROS is installed on your Computer ?

I can't add that string in the Grub.cfg, because InstallAROS deleted all partitions

That was from version 2.0. I am installing 2.1 and I think I will have the same issue.

Confirmed, I had Aros One 2.0 on disk, wiped and used free space to install Aros One 2.1.
The dual option does not appear on the menu.

If it did not destroy your other partitions, add in Grub.cfg that string !

Maybe the partitions weren't destroyed, to me the first time it didn't destroy my partitions, in subsequent tests it deleted all partitions.

I re-did a fresh install of Windows and InstallAROS deleted all partitions, now I try to reinstall AROS One 2.0, so if all works well I report to deadwood, the latest working AROS version !

On mine it did ok, it maintained the windows partition, I have just added the entry and it's working fine. But I only did it once.

Are you sure that AROS One 2.0 was installed, or was it an upgrade from a previous version ?

I installed a clean Windows and AROS One v2.0, InstallAROS deleted the Windows partition.

I used the Pendrive version to install AROS One, what did you use AROS One the DVD ?

Your Atapi.device partition is located on what Drive ?

Yes I am sure, I always do a clean install (clean aros partitions) for each version that is released using a burned dvd image since version 1.7.
I never use USB image or do an upgrade.

In the last 2 days I installed 3 different machines with the 2.1 DVD.

1 - Lenovo E530 Laptop (Dual boot Aros-Linux)
2 - D945GCLF2 Desktop (Triboot Amithlon-Linux-AROS) : ata.device Unit 1 -Partion 1 (0=Windows, 1=Aros)
3- Mac mini Intel C2D (Dual boot Aros-Windows7)

All of them had the 2.0 version installed and didn't have any problems on them.
I always use default option that appears selected (use aros partitions and wipe them)

OK solved, my 69 years are showing, actually Aros One 2.1 works fine, but you have to add the string in the grub.cfg.

was my mistake, i remembered "erroneously" that you have to use "Wipe" before installing  :D

Ohhh,  that one option wipes it all allright!! Now I remeber it happened to me too also some time ago.
I dont remember if it already has it, that option should have a dialog/warning asking if you are really sure to wipe the entire disk.
It would prevent those situations. Sometimes It happens even when you're trying hard not to do it!
Well at the problem was found and solved :-)

In my case, where I would create 4 Partitions.

1) System Reserved,
2) Win10 (NTFS)
3) "Share (FAT32)
4) AROS

With the Wipe command it would change like this:

1) AROS
2) Partition Free

It was basically splitting my disk into 2 because it doesn't support the 240 GB of the Hardisk):

Doing all these with the DVD would have been impossibleem with Pendrives you install Win10  in just about 10 minutes and AROS One in 5 Minutes and less.

With a faster pendrive you install everything in much less.

Yes I know but I hate USB Pen drives.... they are most unreliable storage and avoid them at all cost.
I have lost considerable amount data even on new ones. It's a hit and miss.
Also USB Pen boot does not work on old Mac Minis, only the most recent ones. So DVD it is,  DVDRW fits fine for AROS. Erase and Rewrite.
I usually only use one pen for all ISOS with Ventoy multiboot, but it doesn't work for AROS.

Pendrives are unreliable, they should not be used for Archiving data, but only for exchange data between computers and doing installations.

DVDs, on the other hand, are not suitable for installing large systems, because it may happen that some data cannot be copied, they suffer a lot from redundancy, Pendrives for installations do not miss a beat.

Anyway now I tried to install AROS One v2.0, and in the menu I had to put manully the Windows string, maybe if you have time try af it too.

I need to identify for sure the latest verson of AROS where DualBoot works well, otherwise deadwood can't fix the problem.

I did the string change in all 3 machines, all working fine.
Aros One 2.0 installed the dual boot the last time I used it, so maybe that one.

Strange, to me 2.0 does not add Windows   :o

By the way on AROS One 2.1, I forgot to update the icon packages, maybe tomorrow I will create an Update and include the fixes attached yesterday !

I can try to install 2.0 again on the Mac Mini, it's the only machine where I have Windows, the others have linux
but, like you said, it will take forever as I cant boot using USB on this model.
Just to make sure.

I just did a fresh reinstall of Aros One 2.0 (Format Partitions DH0/DH1 + Aros Core  + Boot loader) and I can confirm, Windows 7 is detected and
added automatically to the boot menu  :)

That also confirms the report I made on June 11 which was also made with Aros One 2.0 at the time:
