Uh. IconDresser is a veeeeeery old script that barely overwrites icons without processing them. It was tailored for the mininal evolution stage AROS was when it was written and should NOT be used anymore.
Now we have processicon which does a far better work, although it must be done manually. By the way, I use it in many places in Icaros, from InconPoser to HostBridge and AmiBridge. I've even turned its readme into a .guide file to let the command 'help processicon' work, because I always forget its syntax.
As for the contact with application developers: I still do what I can, but I have many projects to follow and Icaros Desktop is just only one of them. To let you forgive me, I am releasing v2.3 before Christmas.
About the general volume applet: I cannot complete it. I've asked the community for a master volume CLI utility but nobody provided me one. If only we had a 'mixer' port from OS4... but we haven't it. Problem is, as fas as I could understand, that AHI doesn't expose a 'general' master volume control setting. But if you open AHI control, you'll find one in a form of a slider. I hoped someone could look into AHI prefs source and re-use that part, or take inspiration from. The Zune GUI for it is ready, though.
