I am trying to boot on an HP Envy Laptop: https://support.hp.com/si-en/document/c05377476

I download the iso and burn it to USB and get "No bootable Device"  I have tried Legacy options on and off.  But for some reason I can't get anywhere with it...at all.  I am able to burn other iso images and boot other OSes on this device, Haiku, Linux, even MacOS.  So, I just don't know what the issue is.

AFAIK, you must install AROS directly onto the usb key via InstallAROS. Just burn a cd/dvd, boot from it and then install from it.

I don't have a CD Rom or DVD Rom in this PC.  I have to boot from a USB.  I am NOT trying to install it to USB like it was an HD.  I am trying to use a USB as bootable Media.  I don't know how else to say it.   I used to just download the iso, burn it to USB and then boot.  Now I can't.

AROS' iso can't be installed on a usb key like other OSs. It simply fail to boot. I've heard of people installing AROS on a virtual machine and then install AROS on USB via emulation. I can't help you with this, because I never had to do. For this task I bought an external usb cd rom. Sorry for my bad english, and happy new year.  :)

Head to Icaros' DOWNLOAD page and scroll down the page until you find the "Other resources" section. Download "AROS-2-Pendrive virtual machine" and load it from VMware Player, then use this vm like you'd use a real computer, to create your bootable Icaros installation media.

Yes Confirmed with a Virtual Machine you can install AROS on External USB HD, PenDrive or MemoryCard

WMWare Player: Install AROS Nightly Builds  on Hardisk USB External/PenDrive/MemoryCard

WMWare Player: Install AROS One On HardFile
