Where does all of the software included in Icaros come from?

The full version of Icaros comes bundled with a huge amount of software. Are these programs available on the web somewhere and can be installed by themselves on other distributions of AROS?

It's awesome that AROS and ICAROS has so many packages ready to go after you install it and everyday it seems something is new on the AROS Archives from a new package or updating an existing package!The AROS Team work so hard to keep everything running smoothly as possible and do an awesome job in every area!My AROS and ICAROS systems have been very reliable and very few problems! 8)

Oh nice, I wasn't aware of the AROS Archives. There is a surprising amount of software for such a niche operating system. I imagine a lot of it is open source Amiga software that has been ported.
