Hi

I am trying to understand the AROS partitioning of hard drive.

From looking at the rexult of the Aros Installation program  the partition scheme looks to  be:

PC-MBR
      +PC-EBR Extended
               +RDB AROS Partition Table
                         +SFS DH0
                          +SFS DH1

Is this correct?

I have difficulty with the HDToolbox, when trying to use the Redize/Move option. Can a third AROS partition be added and how does the Resize option work?

Is it beeter to use the PARTITION command from the Shell?

Regards,
Derek

Regards,

Derek

HDToolbox is complicated, better to create partitions automatically from InstallAROS.

I attach an old video of mine showing how to add partitions on AROS with HDToolbox

Hi,

I can not seem to get HDToolbox to add a SFS - BE partition, when I have added a entry, the Resize option will only select all the space even when changing the size of the partition.

Derek

After you typed in the size, did you hit enter ?

Hi,

Yes you are correct, I did not think I had to press ENTER after inserting the new Partition size.

Pressing ENTER now resizes the partition entry.

Thank you for the help.

Derek
