Hi yogib33r,

Nice to see you again.

Doesn't the usual/normal way of changing the screen resolution not work for you ?

From the workbench:
- system:prefs/screenmode
- select display mode resolution
- press save

It will probably ask you to close all intuition windows (and there might be none open). In such a case a restart/reboot will take your changes as well.

If that doesn't work for you then please do tell, as it should work -> even for qemu. Or is qemu forcing this resolution some way or another (and scales the icaros resolution) ?

ah, I missed the part were you wrote kms

In that case: I have no idea how you can manage qemu to such an extent to let things work nicely with Icaros.

I also seem to be unable to find something related wrt qemu screen drivers/resolutions in the AROS wikibook.

Sorry that I am unable to help you out any further.

You have to edit boot options, as explained in the user manual. Try advanced boot options to have a quick peek.

On my Linux machine I select tap.device in AROS' network preferences.

Qemu seem to work with tap as well. You do need to set up tap on your Linux host first though. I needed to install a package named uml-utilities as that contained the required tunctl utility for me.

You can setup your tap permanently but i prefer to use a script like the one that is present on the wikibook (https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Aros/Platforms/Installing_on_*nix#Configuring_host_network_for_AROS_hosted).

If you are not using tap then the AROS driver to choose depends on what card you "emulate" with qemu ...
