I have a strange problem.

AROS64 latest night build from today 07.06.19 boots fine from optical drive.

When I install to USB and try to boot I see the debug and then screen goes black and get no further.

The AROS64 SMP works fine after installing to USB.

maybe I have to change computer, because it has me it doesn't work, during the boot it tells me in requester that there are problems with the ata sub-system, but maybe it is early yet to think about installing it, there is not even owb

Neil told me there been some changes to ata.device recently.

I also think there are some problem with hd-toolbox conversion from 32-bit to 64-bit.

Creating AROS partitions using AROS installer, AROS64 is not working as it should. It works fine with AROS i386 abi v.1

After I have created AROS partitions from AROS i386 abi v.1 aros installes from AROS64 installer but as said does not boot all the way.

I use DELL Latitude D520 with 2GHz CPU that is 64-bit. The original CPU that was in the laptop is not 64-bit.

Try making a partition 7GB or smaller and see if it works.

Just checking did that work for you?   I've also had some luck switching to a 4GB FFS partition.

then I should create with hdtoolbox a partition of 2 gb to be sure, both the system on CD and about 100 mb, but there is a port of owb?, because I thought I could use everything right away, it seems to me that there is already something like zune tools, milky and I do not know what else

thank you so much for everything

Got the solution to this problem from Kalamatee.

There is something wrong in the way that if you have optical drive AROS tries to read from it and stops there. If everything was normal AROS should try to read from other devices if no system is present in the optical drive.
If you don't have optical or disconnect, disable it you will not have this problem.
The way around it is to hit space after grub menu. This will bring you to the boot menu. Just like in the Amiga days.
From there you can select what drive you like to boot from. In my case USB drive. Problem solved.
