Access to a real Amiga formatted hard disk (or compact flash) under ICAROS

Hi everyone,

I would to ask you how to access a real Amiga hard disk (or compact flash) with an Amiga OS (classic) boot partition installed... I will try to explain myself (and sorry for my basic English language level).

I use now a pretty mini ITX Intel based board running Icaros Desktop 2.2.6. All goes perfect. Of course I am a newbie in the AROS world... I am working with this OS from some months ago only.
I need to access under AROS to some real Amiga formatted hard disks (main compact flash from my A600 and A1200) but no luck. Anyone have an idea how to do this?. Surely it is my absolute ignorance over ICAROS. Of course, I can access FAT32 partitions.

OK. But the USB spider stack mounts fine any Amiga hard disk into my A4000 (OS 3.9), and my Sam400 (OS 4.1). In this way I can read/write direct to the disk with no emulation. I am wondering for this possibility under ICAROS

yes it is possible, I remember that I had a hd formatted with amithlon on one of my systems and icaros recognized them

A couple of questions - what format is the hard drive in (FFS, SFS, PFS... ?) and how is it being linked to the AROS machine (USB interface, directly via PATA cable, PATA to SATA interface... ?) To agree with what has been said above, it is possible to read FFS or SFS formatted AmigaOS hard drives directly in AROS, and this should be doable either via a USB interface or direct PATA connection. However, there is no PFS driver for AROS and I've found PATA to SATA interfaces to be problematic.

aros recognize psf partition, my hd with amithlon it was on pfs and on boot of icaros it was on desktop
