Title: BarsnPipes AROS - a new try
Post by: hansfaust on December 21, 2019, 08:23:48 AM
Hi Friends,
more than 10 years ago I tryed to port the best Multimedia-MIDI-sequencer ever made for the AMIGA - Bars&Pipes - to AROS. At that time I have failed, because there were to many problems to solve.
After I could successful set up a ICAROS-System 2.2.8 on a older hardware here with working internet-connection, I thought I'll start a new try. The main reason: I found out, that the new ICAROS System is supporting USB-MIDI-Interfaces.
Now I have the hope, I'm able to port the program successful.
First I've to create a working makefile to compile the 160 sourcefiles.
And than the error-cleaning-procedure ….. wish me luck …  ;)

there is currently a version that only supports the serial port, hitchhikr is the author

http://archives.aros-exec.org/share/audio/bnp.i386-aros.zip

you have to delete the preferences file to be able to start it on aros

I am REALLY interested on this! (As I've been working as a musician since 25 years and being now an Amiga composer... As soon as I know how to set Icaros on my desktop computer I'll give it a try when you have something :-)
