I'm running Icaros hosted on Debian 11 32bit, and trying to change my screen resolution. I use Prefs->ScreenMode, and select 1920x1080, and select Use. At this point, I get a popup:
"Intuition is attempting to reset the screen, please close all windows except Wanderer's ones."
I click on Retry, and it just says the same thing again. What do I do here to continue?

You can either locate everything that's running and quit or save the new screenmode and restart AROS(that works for native at least)..

darkoverlordofdata. if there are any open "third party" applications like clocks, menus etc... you just close them and the screen swap will happen automatically.
In any case if you have done Save, even if the switch doesn't happen, the new screen has been saved, so you will find it after a reboot.

Yes you have to get out of Icaros and do a reboot from bash

I get it. I was clicking 'Use' to preview the changes. Only issue now, it it cuts off the menu from the bottom 'cause it still has the top chrome for the window title. According to this post [https://vmwaros.blogspot.com/2019/12/?m=1][/https://vmwaros.blogspot.com/2019/12/?m=1] there is suppose to be a flag:
./icaros -f force fullscreen for this session
but when I try it I get a syntax error. Oh well, I can futz with the host resolution and get close to a full screen...a bit frustrating.

You should also try an experience AROS on Native PC or Virtual Machine, that way AROS will be its own master and will not need the support hosting it.
I say this because if you are not familiar with AROS, my advice is to use first the suggested ways.

The best experience I had on Lubuntu 18.04 on system preferences you can select the full screen function but you can not use linux programs only if it works in window mode, another thing I noticed on icaros hosted that owb does not work
